Dr. Kathryn Koheli Mandal, MD

Dr. Mandal has cared for our son from before birth to now, 6 years. Extremely thorough and caring. Well educated and reassuring. We will always highly recommend her to all our friends and family.

First let me start by saying that if you are anti-vaxx, this pediatrician is NOT for you. Dr. Mandal requires all patients to be vaccinated, which was a GREEN FLAG for my family. I chose this office based on the reviews and that it was in-network with our Aetna medical insurance plan when we were just leaving the hospital with my oldest in 2019. Dr. Mandal has been amazing. I have 2 children who have been seeing her since birth (2 daughters ages 18 months and almost 3). Both have had some serious & minor issues (very bad dairy & soy allergy until 1 with my oldest, MRSA skin infections for both of my girls, COVID, and KP/eczema, & so on). I have been able to get same-day appointments for close to medical emergencies and sicknesses. Dr. Mandal is very thorough in her visits — I always feel like she cares & actually listens to concerns. She gives praise to us parents, and helps us to diminish unnecessary concerns. She follows best practices (such as extended rear-facing, safe sleeping,… vaccines, no solid foods before 6 months old, etc.), which I appreciate. We will be relocating out of state, and one of my biggest concerns is finding another pediatrician who is as amazing as Dr. Mandal. She has definitely set my expectations very high.

We love Dr. Mandal. She has cared for both of my babies since birth, now ages 3 and 2. She's very knowledgeable, good bedside manner, honest, and caring.

Started bringing my son to Dr Mandal when he was four days old. From that very first visit the Dr was impatient and condescending towards my husband and I when we had questions and expressed frustration with the hospital. Communication is very poor, I am a first time mom and I do not feel as though I am given enough info about the few questions I have asked. Concerns have been brushed to the side and the Dr and nurses act as though I am a complete idiot (and poor mother) when I assert that I am not comfortable with certain things (I am pro-vaccine, but they treat me as though I am anti vax when I have questions). His nine month appt was today and we will not be returning.

Danger! Do NOT go to this provider, Dr. Mandal. She falsified information called for the doc to doc report about mother and baby. Advises Bottle over Breast. Cannot keep her cool in an "emergency". I would NEVER work with this doctor in an Emergency Department. She does not know what normal findings are in a neonate. She does not know how to communicate with family or siblings. Office nurse promised follow up call regarding infant transfer to ED, NEVER performed. Clearly no regard to patients or family. Also, doctor clearly stated that she does NOT want to treat "birth center babies". Find another practice!

I’m bless I finally found the best doctor for my boys! DR Mandal cares for my children and always take her time when she see them,and the staff I just wanna say thank you for helping me specially when it’s 911.....thanks again!!

There's a nurse there who has been too rough with my son. Her demeanor has been bad at times and once after having an argument with the Dr. jammed a swab up my son's nose way to hard and way to far. I thought that might be normal until I saw the flu test done by another nurse - it was night and day. She has also been aggressive in shots, the last time I asked Dr. Mandal to give the shot and it was much different. That care should be expected as the norm, not something you have to ask for
