After my surgery, I had a drain at the incision site. It was extremely painful and I reported this to Dr Wheel at my follow up. She told me that it was not possible since (and I quote) “no one else has ever complained of pain at the drain site. You’re just over reacting.” She then proceeded to check the drain tube and ended up ripping the stitches out which she ignored. Said “oops” right in front of me and pushed the tube back in and left it like that. The drain site became very inflamed and the pain increased. When the drain was finally removed, it was extremely painful and again I was ridiculed for “over reacting”. It has now been nearly 2 years since my surgery and I STILL have pain at the site. I’ve gone for more tests and am told that I have nerve damage in the area which is likely permanent. This is not just about the pain, but it has affected my intestinal tract as well. It’s the principal of the fact that no one deserves to be treated the way she treated me. Think twice.… Find a different surgeon if you can.

Dr was very smart, direct & ready to get the job done. She makes sure less is best!!! I love that. If, I am in ever need of a surgon again-She is the one I am asking for!!! Gallbladder Removal.
