Dr. Kathy D Hartke, MD

Dr. Kathy Hartke is a special person. I have been a patient for over 20 years --- she delivered two of my children and now is helping me on my "aging journey". Dr. Hartke is an excellent listener and is compassionate and truly puts her patients first. I never feel that she is rushed and will spend as much time as needed. I always get my questions answered and walk away feeling cared about. I consider her a friend and confidante as well as an outstanding doctor.

I am always sorry when my appointment comes to an end, and I have to wait another year to see Dr. Hartke. I have been a patient for over 15 years, and had my daughter start seeing Dr.Hartke during high school. Dr. Hartke is passionate about women's health, and is an advocate for us on more levels than we realize. She is interested in my overall health and wellbeing. She spends as much time as I need making sure we have covered my questions and current needs. Even her voice and demeanor are calming. She is a special doctor. I highly recommend her.

I saw Dr. Hartke for pregnancy counseling, after doing research on who would be the best physician to see. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in my visit. My husband and I went together, again regarding some infertility issues. First, we were told by the nurse that we were her first appointment of they day, but that she wasn't in the clinic yet, and so my appointment started 15 minutes late. She then got into a conversation regarding testing for cystic fibrosis during pregnancy (even though I was no where near pregnant at the time), and when I told her that based on our religious beliefs that we would not be doing any testing because it wouldn't change anything we would do; she then followed that by saying, "Well at that point it is only 8 cells, just a fibroblast." Being a Christian who believes in life from conception, this was offensive to my and my husband and I just didn't feel had to be said at all. She then came up with a treatment plan, which I agreed with and respected;… but when I got to the pharmacy, a different days supply was sent in that she had counseled me on. Lastly, she ordered a rubella titer on me which apparently came back as "non-immune". She called me personally and let me know that I would have to get an updated MMR vaccine and wait 6 months to even try to conceive. Obviously I was very disappointed about this. However, I myself am a healthcare provider and didn't believe that I was truly non-immune as I have received all my vaccines and had titers done going through my medical training. I looked up what she ordered on "mychart" and she had ordered the wrong test. Thus when I called and spoke to the nurse, and got the right test ordered, sure enough I was immune. The nurse then apologized for the "confusion" which I thought was someone insulting as it was clearly a mistake. That was one too many things for me, and I moved on.

I have been seeing Dr. Kathy Hartke for many years, and I am grateful that there is an opportunity for me to share a review. Dr. Hartke is professional and kind, caring and sincere. She is a brilliant woman with many years of experience who consistently stays informed about women's health care and well-being. She has the patient's best interests in mind, listens attentively and asks the right questions. She definitely spends time with me and takes her time. Never hurried; always thorough. Kathy Hartke is someone I call doctor and friend.

Dr. Hartke is a rare and very special physician. She truly cares about her patients and spends the time they need with them. In an era where many health organizations are run like factories, Dr. Hartke sticks to her values and puts the patient first in providing all-around first rate healthcare, doing what is right and best for the patient. More physicians and health organizations need to follow her model and leadership. For those that do, it is very much appreciated and valued by the patients. That is why I have been a patient of hers for 25 years.

Dr. Hartke has been my physician for over a decade. She has a holistic approach to health that I respect and appreciate; she connects with you, the whole person, and your total health. I can't thank her enough for getting me past some tough health hurdles.

I sincerely believe Dr. Hartke is extremely knowledgable in her field of Gynecology. She makes her pts. feel comfortable even in some embarrassing situations. She is above and beyond compassionate not only for her pts. but also in her dedication to her profession. I strongly suggest if anyone is looking for a Gynecologist, once you see Dr. Kathy Hartke you will look no more.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Kathy Hartke and her staff at The Woman's Care Center. My surgery at Waukesha Memorial went very well plus their staff was excellent. Dr. Hartke is truly a wonderful person & Doctor & I have faith in her ability! She is extremely caring, she listens, she explains what procedure needs to be done and she is there for her patients! Thank you Dr. Hartke for being there for me!

Dr. Hartke is an absolutely wonderful doctor. I wish I would have found her years ago!!! I came to her with concerns after suffering a miscarriage and not getting any answers from my previous doctor. She was the answer to my husband's and my prayers. She coached us through a tough time and laid out a plan for us to get pregnant. I conceived shortly thereafter. She is the first doctor I really trust. She is very knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. She cares about her patients and always answers questions and doesn't rush her appointments. I have had many obgyns in the past and none have come close to Dr. Hartke. I would highly recommend her!!!

Dr. Kathy Hartke is simply the best doctor one could hope for. She is caring, she listens, and she explains what is going on with a genuine interest for your well-being. It has been at least 17 years that I have been going to Dr. Kathy Hartke and highly recommend her to all.
