Kathy Cook Porter, WHNP-C

Board Certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), Ms. Porter obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas, and completed her advanced practice training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. Ms. Porter has more than three decades of experience in women’s health and is certified in Inpatient Obstetrics and Women’s Healthcare.
Ms. Porter is trained to provide care for women throughout their lives, including preventive care, prenatal and postpartum care and treatment of illness and health problems. She is certified by and a fellow of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) which allows her to treat cervical disease. Prior to joining Dr. Dean, Ms. Porter worked at The Women’s Place in DeSoto, Texas.
