Dr. Katie Marie Hamblett, MD

This is the rudest, most unprofessional provider I’ve ever encountered. We disagreed on a treatment plan for my abdominal pain and she not only took it personally, she tried to intimidate me into a referral to surgery the same day. My PCP said I’d be fine. No surgery was necessary.

I was attended to by Dr. Hamblett at the VA last night for abdominal pain. She was able to calm me down, and reassure me that the cause of my pain would be diagnosed and treated. Dr. Hamblett was thorough, professional and demonstrated true concern for all of the ER patients she was caring for. She was also very personable, and calmed me with her humor! If I ever need to go to the ER again I hope that Dr. Hamblett is on duty!

She was the attending doctor when I was taken to Kent by ambulance for severe pain. She was rude, condescending, kept insisting that the nurse give me a rectal thermometer reading because I could not sit up. She does not belong working with human beings. I feel sorry for any elderly person that she may have had dealings with as she probably had them terrified as she had me. She is one of the reasons that Kent has the reputation that is does. Don't think I will even pay her bill.
