Dr. Katie Elizabeth Jennings, MD

I was hit by a car on my bicycle and went to McLeod ER by ambulance. I was put on a wheelchair and put in the waiting room for 3 hours. When I was called back to the room, the stretcher was not cleaned so a nurse came and sprayed the mattress and wiped it with paper towels. My blood pressure was through the roof, I had abrasions on my left knee, Left elbow, nose, face and eye. I could not move my left arm. It would not raise up. Dr Jennings came in, ordered x-rays and a CT of my head and facial bones. I was brought back from CT and did not get hooked back up to the monitor for 1-2 hours. No one cleaned my abrasions and I sat there about 3 hours, supposedly, waiting on my imaging results. A guy can in, to bide, time and gonna clean my abrasions then. I told him no, I was ready to go. That should have been done a long time ago. Dr. Jennings never said one thing about my blood pressure, I asked her why I could not raise my arm and she said the x-ray not show anything and to rotate it… around leaning over. Needless to say, she should have sent me to an orthopedist because I had 3 tendons torn off the bone in my left shoulder and ended up having 5 surgeries on that shoulder at one time. Just because x-rays are normal, does not mean something isn't going on on the inside. Stop rushing and start being a doctor and access the patients. Don't depend on CT and x-rays for everything!
