Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:The science is fascinating. I love the challenge that hospital medicine presents. No two days are the same, which is great! When I was in high school, I visited hospitalized family members and admired the work of the nurses. Those experiences were my inspiration to attend nursing school.What I want my patients to know about me:I always strive to do my best. If I don't know the answer, I will find someone who does. My favorite Florence Nightingale quote is this: ""I attribute my success to this-I never gave or took any excuse.""What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy spending time outdoors, gardening, bicycling, cooking and baking, home DIY projects, as well as spending time with family, friends, and my rescue dog.
