Dr. Katrenka Rae Rember, MD

She prescribed me a medication when it wasn’t necessary. When It had an adverse affect, I called her and she said it had little or nothing to do with the medication and told me to keep taking it. My condition got worse and I called again. She finally told me to stop taking it. She appeared annoyed when I met with her in person. I now deal daily with the affects of what that medication did to me. I do not recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Rember is filling in for my PCP. I have a skin infection that we are trying to diagnose and I'm waiting to see a specialist. In the last week my symptoms have skyrocketed and the pain is unreal. I can't eat and I can't sleep. I've lost 10lbs in 5wks and had about 3 hrs sleep in 48 hrs. It is similar to the Shingles but the little blisters are all over my body. I went to the office today 100% looking for pain relief and anti-nausea. I was told the specialist couldn't get back to me for a few days and I have the blisters showing up in my eyes. Out of fear for how this could continue to snowball I made an appointment and went into the office to see her even though I did not want to bring a new doctor into this strange case I'm dealing with. All she wanted to do was document all my symptoms and give me another referral... I said okay because the more a doctor wants to take the time to do this the more it benefits me in the long run I thought. We spent a long time going over this… strange case I have. I cried because of the frustration and the pain I'm in and how hard this has been. They are in my scalp!! At the end she wrapped it all up and said she would do blood work and send it all off and was done and would give me a copy. When I asked for medication she just stared at me blankly. She told me to take Benadryl. I kind of laughed and said okay... I can barely have anything touch me but sure I will try and sleep with that... Can I please have something for the nausea. she did NOT want to give me anything. I said "I don't think I'm asking for anything unreasonable here" She finally agreed to give me zofran but seemed unhappy about it. Then I got her report!!! It downplayed all of my symptoms and made it sound like I came in because I had some bumps I wasn't sure about and I lost weight! It also talked about me being scared and afraid several times. I sounded like a crazy person! It didn't talk about the pain I'm truly in or that I can't sleep or touch the side of the body the blisters are on. It completely makes it sound like she thinks I'm faking it or just wants to refer me to her friend who is a dermatologist which she mentioned several times to me. I sat in my car and cried. I left work early for this appointment. I debated over this appointment since I knew I was just going to ask for help with medication to get me by until I could see the specialist but I'm in a desperate place right now with the bumps in my eye. I was so upset. So offended and now I'm up and can't sleep because the pain rages and surprise! the Benadryl isn't doing it! Spare yourself and don't see this women.

Dr. Rember was my doctor for several years until she prescribed a medication for me that both of us knew I was allergic to. She said it was a "new kind" and I should not have a bad reaction to it. I did. I almost died. She prescribed it again about a year later (I refused to fill the prescription), and accused me of "being on welfare" when I was on Medicare. She was more concerned with talking down to me like I was a child (I was a retired university instructor), rarely listened to my questions and when she did listen she rarely answered them, and seemed more concerned with keeping to her "15 minutes per patient" rule than actually taking care of her patient - me. I hope when she was treated for cancer that her physician was more human and more understanding to her than she was to her own patients.

Quite literally the worst doctor I have ever seen. She is VERY rude and condescending. I am a VERY easy going person and do not take things personally, but a doctor should not behave the way she does. I asked her a simple, important question just to verify that I had heard her correctly and instead of simply saying, "yes, that is correct" she gave me a long speech about how science shows that we only hear about 50% of what we are told and that I needed to pay better attention while she is talking to me. Another time I went to see her about the possibility of arthritis in my thumb (which I could hardly move). She stood across the room, never even approaching the exam table I was sitting on and said, "Are you asking me to see a rheumatologist?" I told her I was asking her to take a look at my thumb. She started at me for a LONG time and said, "I have no idea what you expect me to do, did you want to see a rheumatologist or not?" When I said that I did not think that was necessary, she… said that all they would do is give me pain pills any way, so why bother. A third time (I am a glutton, I know) I had a physical (she only does them every 2 years because she thinks they are not necessary) she refused to refill my steroid inhaler saying that it was, "only for people with REAL asthma". Needless to say, I have REAL asthma and after suffering for a few months, I found a new doctor. She seem to like the power she has in controlling her patients lives and NOT the power that she has to heal. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I have seen Dr Rember a few times and every time I have seen her she's rude and doesn't listen to your concerns! I recently had a scare when my twin sister had a heart attack at 36, ( she's doing good now) however I was told by her doctor that I needed to get checked out! I went and saw Dr Rember, not only did she not listen to me about my exercise routine and eating habbits she proceeded to tell me I was obess! I had labs done and my Lipids did come back bad, I don't have insurance at this time and told her that! The only way she will talk to me or give me a perscription is if I go back into the office and pay another office visit! Seems to me that the next visit should be the end result of labs taken and should be covered by my last visit! I was told by her assistant that when I can afford to come back in they would talk to me then about my labs! I was also told that the office manager would call me to see if there was a way to help. Haven't received that call!

Given my many issues consisting of Diabeties, Heart desease, High Blood Pressure, Skin Cancer, Several Joint Replacements (Hip, Both Shoulders) I have nothing but good to say about Dr. Rember.She has gotten my blood surgars undercontrol and suggested great specialist to handle my joints, Heart and Skin issues.She was extremely patient with my wife up and untill she passed away.As I said, I can only prase Dr Rember for Her Caring attention that both my wife and I have recieved.

Office staff bills wrong having to correct and recorrect them each time I go in, doctor doesn't listen to me, gets grumpy because I came in for one thing and she wanted to do something else, barks orders at you, will not help you on one thing unless you do what she wants on a completely different matter, it seems to me her mood insinuates her diagnosis. I am changing doctors because I do not trust her judgement any longer.
