Dr. Katrina Maria Foster, MD

I have not seen Dr. Foster for a few years but like another reviewer stated she was handling everything herself after taking over for Dr. Ratra when clearly by that time she should have had an assistant and receptionist. The last time I did see her she seemed like something was wrong with her (mentally) I was just wondering about the practice. Next time I'm over that way I'll check to see if someone else has taken over the practice. The number that's online is disconnected.

Does anyone know how to get in contact with Dr. Foster. Her office number is disconnected. Trying to get my medical records and biopsy results. What's going on? This is really bizarre.

Dr. Foster in my opinion seems mentally ill. After she took over Dr. Ratra's practice i saw her and she seemed fine at that time but a year later i return she was still handling everything herself, she has no receptionist or assistant. I had to go over there because she never answers the phone, the last time i went i knew it would be the last time because something seems really off about her mentally i mean, very weird. Has anyone else experienced this with her? I cannot answer staff question, she has no staff!

Dr. Foster's office will not answer the phone and will not return any voicemails I've left over the past two weeks. I have been trying to schedule an appointment and get my prescription renewed because it's been a year since my last visit, but no one will respond. Now my prescription is expired, so apparently I'm going to have to find a new doctor to get this taken care of. I had always had pleasant experiences over the last two years, so I don't know what has changed, but it is professionally and medically irresponsible and dangerous to ignore calls and voicemails from patients over a period of two weeks.

Would not recommend. She does not return calls

I contacted the Capitol Women's Center Silver Spring location today for an urgent visit and they scheduled me to see Dr. Foster. I have had wonderful experiences with two of the male doctors in this practice and was excited to have a woman examine me. My excitement turned to horror and disbelief when during the exam Dr. Foster exclaimed that my "fibroids were so big she couldn't feel my uterus." When I asked how big, she replied "VERY BIG" and proceeded to write out some prescriptions without any regard for her blunt and uncaring statements. I informed her that I had already been scheduled for a sonohistogram (sp?) the following Tuesday and was about to ask some additional questions about the procedure but by that time Dr. Foster was walking out the door. She gave me a half-hearted "Hang in there" without even looking back at me. I spoke with the office manager at the location to share my experience. She was very empathetic and reassuring and apologized for the treatment I… received. I will continue to go to this practice, but I absolutely will never schedule an appointment with Dr. Foster. It's one thing to be candid with patients - another thing altogether to be totally insensitive. If you like abrasive doctors, Dr. Foster is an excellent choice.
