Dr. Katrina Noel Kuzyszyn-Jones, PhD

Please read her reviews!! on this and google before choosing KKJ as a PC. She is VERY ‘pro-power woman’ (feminist in the not-good-sense), which makes her pro-mom; not necessarily a bad thing (as I am a mom) but she is certainly biased which is not helpful. She talks down to clients, definitely to the men, and sometimes the women. She treats her clients like they are kindergartners. Our parental relationship was worse after using KKJ. Both of us agree, she was harmful to us working together. It was expensive. It detracted from both of our abilities to parent rather than helping. I question whether her ego drives decisions or what is best for the child. I would never recommend using her. I’ve had two lawyers now say the same thing to me. I wish I had known this information before I chose her.

Here’s a little bit about me. I have been wronged by KKJ! My siblings and I have been tortured by our abuser for many years and still are! KKJ lied to the court and entered false information based on lies that our abuser told her. She helped the abuser win so she could have a financial windfall. I’m no attorney, but I know my rights and it seems that my constitutional rights were violated! I’m wondering in my opinion that Dr. KKJ’s actions almost seem criminal! Here’s a number! Text no call! Kkj has the unique capacity to change information read to her verbatim. Kkj has the power to hear recordings in a way that no one else can hear them including other professionals. Kkj when confronted with material evidence contrary to what she has written will meet your evidence with "ive already published the report I cannot change it". Id recommend recording your sessions so you can counter her revisions of what you said in court. Its too late for me I have to deal with the NC state psych board now. You can simply shop around for someone who cares about performance standards and integrity. The worst part is that my ex spouse said they were willing to see a doctor if there was a diagnosis which would have saved our marriage. KKJ either through her bais or negligence effectively ended my marriage. Update 3 years later: my child is now hearing impaired thanks to the antics of the coparent. From cancelling appointments/surgeries to disreguarding specialists... weaving a web of lies… to doctors, office staff and myself. KKJs past failure to peform her duties without bias have now cost our daughter part of hearing permanently because the other parent delayed surgery for roughly 4 months and counting. we are still battling for them to allow critical surgery. with the absolute strangest of tatics and excuses that I still have trouble understanding the coparent continues to delay. If KKJ had not been sexist and examnied the mountain of evidence my daughter would not be impaired today.

I have used Dr. Katrina for my custody case and she helped document my daughters experience with her mother. She has been our go to therapist for our daughter for several years and I recommend to everyone. Not sure what all the negative feedback is for. We did not have that experience!

The comment that had a good rating is false. That "saved my family" comment is what my abusive father left on this page. My sibling and mother are the other two comments. All three of us are victims of his abuse and her negligence in our case. She failed to keep my younger sibling safe by allowing him to gain custody of him. She is not to be trusted. Good luck finding an actual trustworthy custody evaluator! People suck!

I don’t know where to begin....... Dr. Katrina is a FRAUD! She acted on false information and caused my life to be in ruins along with my siblings! She used fabricated information to win a case for my abuser. She didn’t listen to my testimony which was based on facts NOT OPINIONS! He has continued on his path of destruction, who now fled the state of VA illegally with my sibling after committing FRAUD UPON THE COURT in two different states! She lied for her own financial gain! My siblings and I have been depressed and on the brink of suicide! We have attempted suicide on many occasions and are extremely exhausted! She will do anything to cover this up! I won’t be surprised if she deletes this comment! PS. Stay far away from DR. Katrina! She is a cancer to society!

I don’t have a gentle way to start this review - Dr Kuzyszyn-Jones saved my family. I have a high conflict divorce with two children. My son had long-standing behavioral issues that worsened. The short version is that his behavior became increasingly violent and his mother and the PC we were working with at the time refused to seek treatment for him. On court order, Dr Kuzyszyn-Jones performed an extensive custody and psychological evaluation. I was open and honest with all her questions. I didnt always like the feedback I received, but I trusted her, and her decisions, 100%. I felt she was fair and balanced putting the best interest of my children before anything else. Unfortunately implementing her full recommendations required more court time, but the outcome has been amazing. The recommendations she made for our custodial schedule and parental decision making has made a huge difference for my family. My son has grown and matured and done a tremendous job changing his… behaviors. There were many elements involved (a new PC, therapists, school, etc), but this would not have been possible without the thorough and thoughtful work of Dr Kuzyszyn-Jones.

Dr KKJ completed a child custody evaluation for our family. There was hard evidence given to her at the time of our evaluation of Domestic Violence and Abuse. She deliberately ignored this material fact. Dr KKJ administered neuropsychiatric testing inappropriately, and then utilized this invalid and unreliable information for her Data Analysis, Conclusions and Recommendations for the report. End Result....Judge acted on this highly flawed report, and ordered our children into the care of our abuser. The children have attempted suicide on numerous occasions since court ordered to live with their abuser....all thanks to Dr KKJ. By the way....our abuser paid for most of her custody evaluation and testimony at trial.
