Dr. Katrine Bengaard, DO

Our family switched to Dr. Bengaard two years ago. She listens attentively and makes you feel like you're the only person that matters. She recognizes when she needs to refer you to someone else and helps makes the arrangements. Our previous doctor treated a member of our family for months before referring us to a specialist. She is definiately a very caring doctor.

I would not recommend this Doctor. She was unintrested in what I had to say about how I was feeling.When I brought up things that had been discussed in previous appointment she said we had never talked about them. I have over 20 years of experience in skilled nursing and would never Want any of my residents to see her. I was not treated with any kindness or condisderation. Time spent with me number if stars should have been 1 star. She spent the entire time on the computer and barly made eye contact. Health care has to have some compassion

Dr. Bengaard has no bedside manner, doesn't listen, and worst of all doesn't care.

Excellent Primary Care

I am 80 years old. Have had a stroke, breast cancer, a heart attack, COPD, asthma, numerous infections, Afib, (From taking hydrochlorthiazide which I learned when the script was mistakenly omitted on my drug refills). I've been on vicodin for the whole time. 1/2pill a day. I need to find a Dr. in my area, so made an appointment with Dr. Bengaard. She started of by telling me I needed to stop taking Benedryl. I have allergies. She then told me I also need to stop using my inhaler. She said both were causing high blood pressure. So I'm supposed to die of suffocation? She then gave me a prescription for traMADol??? And STOPPED 10 (TEN) prescriptions, some of which I never had. Two I had had. Triamcinolone cream and Vicodin. She told me Vicodin is a very dangerous drug. I asked what was so dangerous about a half a Vicodin? She said I could fall???? Apparently she hasn't read the list on traMADol. She never did say why she STOPPED the T cream

I could have written previous review! The staff is great; the doctor is not. There are lots of available appointments for a reason. Being happy to do her job and interact professionally with patients does not come naturally to her. She needs more experience and education before attempting to deal with patients/the public. I encountered this opinionated inexperienced sour puss a few years ago at a previous office she was at. I was unfortunate to have to encounter her a second time at this location. Same cold, grumpy attitude, didn't hear what my concerns were, argued with me, no follow up. I am wondering if it is depression, stress, or just bad personality?? Either way, I do not get the impression that she is happy to do her chosen job. I will NOT be going back to this office.

huge waste of time and money... this doctor is way too young and inexperienced to talk intelligently about medications she knows nothing about. 2 years experience???? really??? I wasted $180 on sprig (discount payment option) and didn't get the medications I needed....I would never refer anyone to this doctor, especially older people... and I was misled on the phone by staff

Very smart and good doctor. Great bed side manner, easy to talk to and listens to what you have to say. Also at Legacy West Linn all her staff and office are very friendly and easy to work with. I would recommend her to friends and family.

At my appointment this doctor said she'd send me two referrals in the mail. I got the referrals and they specified the doctors I was to see. One of them is located over an hour away from where I live, even though my insurance covers more than 10 doctors in the same type of practice less than 10 minutes from my house. The second was for an OB/GYN office that didn't have a female doctor.I called on Friday to change my referrals and had to leave a message. No one called me back. I called Sunday and talked to the appointment clerk and she only took a message. Now it's Tuesday and I haven't heard a single piece of communication from them. I just changed my PCP so that I can go to a doctor who has an efficient office staff.
