Dr. Kavita Kedia Erickson, MD

I had a serious car accident 11 years ago and have had multiple surgeries to my lower leg and ankle with hardware placed and replaced. I have continued to have pain and am limited in many ways. I was referred to Dr. Erickson for steroid injection and was doubtful that if would be of any benefit. Dr. Erickson also let me know that she was not confident if would help, but she explained to me what the upside and downside of trying the steroid injection would be. She and my orthopedic doctor both told me that getting the steroid into the joint was the most challenging part since I had hardware and have had multiple surgeries. Dr. Erickson took a few minutes to position my ankle so she could best see the joint and did the procedure in 5 minutes with almost no pain or discomfort. She even showed me that she was in the joint by showing me the x-ray dye as she was injecting it and explaining how the dye followed the joint space. I was without much pain and could use my ankle better than I have… been able to for years for several months. When the pain returned, I waited a month, but then was again referred to Dr. Erickson, and I had the same great experience and am again able to use my ankle without much pain.

I had an epidural steroid injection performed by Dr. Erickson. I was very apprehensive about the exam. Dr. Erickson thoroughly explained what the exam entailed, what I would experience step by step, and I felt no pain or discomfort from the exam. I was unable to walk more than a few feet before the injection. Within 2 weeks after the injection, my leg felt normal and I could walk a mile without any pain.

I had a procedure done by Dr Erickson not long ago. It went very smoothly, and afterward she made sure I was doing OK. I could tell she put my safety and comfort at the top of her priorities.
