Dr. Kavitha Lakshmi Ranganathan, MD

I adore Dr. Ranganathan. She is incredibly skilled and experienced, not to mention kind. I had total confidence in her abilities and even went back for a second series of surgeries because I was so pleased with the results of the first. I wish I could do more than simply write a review because is genuinely an exceptional physician and human being.

This Doctor allowed a student to perform unsupervised facial surgery on me at the Brigham and Woman’s emergency room when I made it clear to the resident that I did not want a trainee doing the surgery. He lied and didn’t tell me he was a resident. He also used a questionable procedure that may result in unnecessary facial scarring. Dr Ranganthan submitted & signed the procedure note and did not include the name of the resident who did the surgery. The notes give the impression that she did the surgery. I never even saw her. The hospital refuses to update the record. It took 5 calls to different department to find out that resident Charles Hwang lied to me and performed the surgery without my consent.

Without a doubt, she has been the best doctor that I have ever had. She is skilled, compassionate, incredibly smart, and respectful. I could not be happier with the care she has provided.
