Dr. Kay Howard Taylor, MD

Dr. Taylor has been my doctor ever since I was born. I have not gone to any other doctor. She is the best. I would not go to anyone else

My overall experience with Dr. Taylor is that she is very focused, caring, considerate, and spends a great amount of time with me to address all of my concerns. I am the type of person who writes down ALL of my issues in detail so that I can only have one office visit. For example, I had the following issues that were resolved (or received leads in the right direction): hip pain, back pain, lip allergy, medications prescribed, herpes 1 &2 questions, red spots (aka cherries), and body rash, dermatologist referral, spine and back specialist referral. It's really nice to not be rushed out the door. I have seen her 3 times now and she hasn't ever rushed me out the door. With someone as finicky as I am, with needing to know why things are happening to my body (i.e. causes), she really exceeds every doctor I have been to. The office is small and intimate, which I like. And I loved not having to fill out a HUGE booklet of initial paperwork when I first signed up! I may be wrong, but I… don't think doctor's in big offices really read that stuff anyways. Also, I'm sure there is a reason why that huge booklet it is all on file for so long, even after you leave a doctor, but I don't like it. Her office only requires a just a couple of pages, which I am cool with being on file since it doesn't seem invasive to me. I would rather be asked the questions in private and have notes taken about my issues rather than this huge packet of questions. It's more personable. Her staff is really nice too. I really appreciate kind staff members. Her office is small, so if you are looking for a doctor, I would try to get in with her. I would guess that she limits her clients so as not to be overloaded and stressed. That's the only way I can explain how she is so great with me. BTW: Although her office is small, she has high-tech equipment. I especially look for this. The better the equipment, the more comfortable and confident I am. Hope this review helps! Take care.

Dr. Taylor is a great doctor who knows what she is talking about when it comes to medicine. She is a little old school in her way of thinking and she is a personality whois blunt and will tell you how it is. She is without a doubt caring about her patients, she has delivered all of my children and I completley trust her. That doesn't mean I don't discuss other ideas and options with her. She is open and willing.

Dr. Taylor was our family physician for 14 years when we moved "home" to Texas to retire. She exhibited professionlism and caring in all areas of her practice. She not only cared for my issues and diagnosed diverticulitis when other physicians overlooked the symptoms (which necessitated a colon resection last year), but also delivered our beautiful granddaughter and dealt with a VERY nervous new mommy! I would recommend Dr. Kay to any and all who want a REAL physician who cares for each in her care. We miss her!

Dr. Kay Taylor lacked the knowledge to diagnose more than half of my issues, while the next doctor I chose to visit cured all ailments. Bedside manner was acceptable, but office staff were unprofessional. If you're indecisive about this doctor, just remember, there are much better doctors out there... MUCH BETTER!
