Dr. Kaylin S Dilbeck

During this extremely brief encounter, the physician made multiple inappropriate and irrelevant comments about my insurance history. She stated that because I previously had Kaiser insurance, I was “privileged” compared to other patients in her office who “could not afford treatment.” She continued discussing other patients’ financial situations, suggested I had advantages others did not. These remarks were discriminatory, judgmental, and completely unrelated to my medical needs. Following this refusal of care, the physician then walked to the front desk and informed the secretaries that I would be filing a complaint with the board, which I had stated only after her refusal to treat me. Her disclosure of this information to staff was completely inappropriate and appeared to be an act of retaliation. The front desk staff reacted with visible shock and took her side, engaging in what felt like unprofessional, high-school-level gossip and judgment. Their behavior added humiliation to an… already distressing experience and further discouraged me from receiving necessary medical care.
