Dr. Kayvon Scott Riggi, MD

I saw Dr. Riggi a few days ago. He was a fast talker, i felt a bit intimidated by him. I agreed to trying a shot in the knee, told him I was nervous and he said it wouldn't be very painful. He had me lay down, was explaining to a student as he worked the shot. He pushed the needle in which was like a slight bee sting, then jammed it in as far as the bone, It was horrible. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, he started to moved the needle around inside my knee to get to more than one area. It was awful. I have had a shot in my other knee before at Tria, and have had shots in my hips and they weren't bad. This one was one I will never forget. I will be going back to Tria for further treatment. The only reason I tried TCO is that my Dr. at Allina sent in a referal to them and I followed up when they called me. I rarely give very negative reviews, but this one was deserved.

Dr Riggi read through the chart, clearly explains the tests & what maybe going on. He is thorough and conservative in treatment, meaning he is not rushing/pushing to do something right this instant but rather gives enough information for the client to make an informed decision on what is right for them.

Dr. R is one of the most amazing and talented doctors I’ve seen.

first visit. in before appt. time. very thorough explanation of my problem including x-rays easily understood. both my knees have serious loss of cartilage. I opted to try cortisone injections in both knees although I see knee replacement(s) in my near future. Now I wait and see for a short time.

I've been seeing Dr Riggi for 7 years now and he's been great

Dr. Riggi did not listen to me he talked over me the whole time of the visit he also told me he was going to numb my knee before he would shoot it with steroids and then had me laid down and never gave me any kind of numbing agent he just walked over and I feel like he stabbed me with the needle I cried it was very painful and then he just left the room. I have had shots of steroids before and never had that much pain the pain lasted a long time. I would never want to go back to him.

Dr Riggi is always very friendly, energenic and explains all the options for you. He is very knowledgeable as we go through the pros and cons of the treatment. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!

Very successful partial knee replacement a year ago and very good coaching and treatment while waiting for the other knee to be done. Friendly, educational, no nonsense. I'm sticking with him.
