I had left knee replacement surgery with Dr. Xie (Shia) 2 months ago. He had used robotics and minimally invasive way to perform the surgery. My recovery was much better than what I have heard from other people. I am very happy with my results!

I saw Dr. Xie in extreme knee pain in the absence of injury. I wanted an MRI (cuz I've been through this- no MRI=no help (and I was right)), he said no. Wait 4-6 and see if it clears up. As if that's helpful at ALL. I also told him I was getting tested for a disease in a few weeks and he told me there's NO way I could have it because it's suuuuper rare and I would have crazy stretchy skin 1. Idk how he would know what because he didn't test my skin 2. also it's not super rare (they're not sure it's rare at all!) 3. lastly the diagnostic criteria explicitly says only mildly stretchy skin- not super stretchy Low and behold I was right. I did have the disease and it directly caused the injury and also I need an MRI because there was like four things wrong with it. IT TOOK 10 MONTHS TO RECOVER. If I didn't already have the appointment booked, I honestly never would have got tested and I would have dropped it right there. However, getting diagnosed has radically changed my life... cuz,… you know, I can get treated for it. This man almost ruined my life. He did ruin my summer and jacked me up for 10 months. It is absolutely not okay for him to perpetuate false information and push me farther from the diagnosis that changed my life. If he's not familiar with a disease, he should frankly not say anything at all about it. But he's also a freaking useless knee doctor. He didn't know what was wrong so instead he told me to just not do anything at all. 10 months. This guy sucks. I am worse off because I visited him. I'll scream it from the rooftops: DO NOT GO.

Dr Xie performed an outpatient total hip procedure for me and the experience couldn’t be any short of amazing. I had no pain and could walk 3 miles just 4 weeks after the surgery. I haven’t been able to do that for 5 years due to severe arthritis. I am so HAPPY that I did this surgery. I couldn’t be happier with the care of Dr. Xie. He is amazing surgeon!
