Dr. Keith Abrahamson’s commitment to providing fun, comfortable treatment to children and adults of all ages has been his main focus since day one. “I enjoy showing fearful patients how dentistry can be an enjoyable stress free experience.”   With satellite TV’s on the ceiling above the chair, patients watch movies, TV shows or listen to music using wireless headphones. Computer aided anesthetic machines accompanied by nitrous oxide (laughing gas) create such a comfort that kids as well as adults say on a daily basis, “I “didn’t feel a thing.”   We never get tired of hearing that.
He is a graduate of Colorado State University BS, Biology 1987 and University of Minnesota School of Dentistry DDS, 1992. After practicing with some of the top dentists in Minnesota, in 1996 he bought his own practice and continues the course today where he has been voted, Top Dentist in 2005, 2007 and now 2009.   In 2000 he built a fully digital and paperless office in Chanhassen and …became one of the most modern practices in Minnesota. “I had a plan to create comfort and beauty that all people can appreciate.” He continues that theme into the treatment of your smile no matter what you are looking for from whiter smiles to implants. “We will show you a video tour of your mouth and begin the journey with YOU fully involved in the treatment that YOU choose.” There are many ways to treat your teeth. Together, we want you to make a healthy, sensible and economical decision, your personal choice.
Continued commitment to charitable organizations, provide a well balanced approach to community needs. He has long standing donating commitments to Special Olympics, local libraries, schools, students and one of a few dentists in Minnesota in a very unique program call Donating Dental Services, DDS.   It’s a wonderful outlet for people that cannot afford dental treatment. “Besides Special Olympics, it is one of the most satisfying parts of my career to create truly happy thankful people with happy smiles.”
Dr. Abrahamson lives in Chanhassen with his wife Dr. Karlene Johnson and children Anika and Grant. His family enjoys skiing, water skiing, snowboarding, wakeboarding tennis, golf, swimming, mountain biking and many more outdoor activities. “Fitness and competition keeps us on the move to a healthy lifestyle physically as well as mentally.” He is often heard telling anyone who listens, “stay happy in your head and happy in your heart.”
