Dr. Keith Richard Bartolomei, MD

Doctor Keith Bartolomei, his practice and his staff are unquestionably the most unkind, inconsiderate, unreasonable and unprofessional health care providers I have encountered. My mother is elderly, disabled and homebound, she had an appointment for which the office had received a referral and scheduled her appointment a few months ago. The appointment was cancelled just few hours before the scheduled time supposedly due to a "conflict of interest" with an employee of theirs who "happened to recognize a last name" which turned out to be a mistaken identity case. Supposedly the employee is or was involved in a court dispute with the daughter of someone who happens to have the same name as my mother. The office did not take the time or even offer to check or allow us to confirm the identity mistake. I took the time to call the office and spoke with Lori the office manager to clarify the mistake as I am her only daughter and I was never involved in any court dispute of any kind with… anyone and wouldn't want my name negatively floating around. I also let her know that I have not been a resident of RI for the past 27 years. Lori showed no care or remorse or shame for their inadequate and unethical practice. My mother is a stage 4 CKD patient in desperate need of a nephrologist and is now suffering the consequence as she must go through a whole process to find a nephrologist again. This behavior should not be acceptable, and it is a bad reflection on the health care practice.
