Dr. Keith Eldon Kesler, MD

I was misdiagnosed and spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on medication that only worsened my condition. In addition Dr. Kesler was unprofessional at every opportunity.

I have been seeing Dr. Kesler for many years now and I cannot say enough positive things about him (and I have seen many). First of all to have a doctor who also serves as a therapist /life coach / analyst has been huge. It is so much more effective to spend an hour working with him versus previous psychiatrists who you see for maybe 15 minutes only to get a prescription out of it. I completely trust Kesler and know there isn't anything I can tell him that he can't help with or has had experience with. What has been very effective for me is his knowing when to be "gentle" and when to push me as I work through depression, bipolar, motherhood, career, etc. I LOVE that Dr. Kesler doesn't throw out diagnoses as most doctors do and has helped me get to a place where I no longer believe I am those things but rather they just make me look at the world in a different light. In line with that thinking Kesler has never just thrown meds at any issue but instead has taken time to really hear… me and medicate when truly necessary. I have spent nearly 20 years looking for both the right therapist and psychiatrist and am thrilled to have not only found both in one person, but also someone who is so incredibly fantastic at what he does. I could go on and on...if you need help with any kind of issue just go see for yourself! He has changed my life. (his assistant Sarah is also a huge benefit!!)

insightful, caring, thoughtful, attentive, responsive, direct

Dr. Kesler is in my experience, the most insightful and compassionate mental health professional I have ever been to. Of a matter of maybe three sessions, he had a very good grasp on my issues and was actively working with me on how to recognise my problems and how to correct them in the future. Not once did I ever feel judged or rushed. From the moment I stepped into his office I felt as though I could confide in Dr. Kesler and trust in his opinion and insight. If you can, I truly hope that you are able to go to him for help. Without a doubt, I think he is worth every penny.

Dr. Kesler is insightful and accessible. He is supportive, easy to trust, and has a calming presence. I found it much easier to form an emotional bond with him than my previous therapists and doctors because he displays an uncommon level of emotional immediacy. His communication is straight-forward and simple. He's not afraid to show himself when that is what is called for. He can be very blunt which I think is great but could be a surprise to some patients. Most importantly, his concern for his patients is evident. I am lucky to have him on my side.

Shows great concern and caring. Empathic. Able to acutely evaluate problems, concerns and then talk with you in a warm and open manner. Doesn't hide behind mumojumbo or $75 words. Can prescribe drugs BUT doesn't do so in order to exclude establishing a therapeutic relationship that can do the job better than the drugs. Remarkable man. Gifted analyst. Thankful to, as a patient, be working with him (not working as a colleague. I'm not a colleague of his...just a patient.) Referred to me by one of his other patients.
