Dr. Keith D. Lobel, MD

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Lobel since 2009. Dr. Lobel is very thoughtful in his approach to helping you and gives you the necessary time to explain issues and he then explains how he may help. We've never had an instance where he didn't help us. He definitely cares for his patients and we couldn't be more pleased. He's more like a friend than a doctor.

It's a good thing this doctor practices in a small backwater town, because that's the only thing he's cut out for. Arrogant, ignorant, and about as grossly incompetent as a doctor can get. Has a bad habit of attempting to bat above his paygrade for issues he doesn't have the competency or skill to understand of treat whilst simultaneously gaslighting his patients that they don't exist and refusing to get his patients proper care or to someone actually capable of providing it. This guy is a living breathing embodiment of what you envision when you think of a small town hack of a doctor that has to resort to anxiety diagnoses and other excuses to back up their ineptitude. Frankly, it's just sad that people in SC - which has one of the worst healthcare systems in the entire United States per national ranking in large part due to failure to diagnose and treat adequately - think people like this guy are actually "good" doctors because they managed to diagnose their painfully obvious… broken bone or a pediatric case of the flu. Again, the upper echelon of this guy's skillset which is probably why he had to go into family medicine in the first place since he's clearly not cut out for anything else.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lobel's for over 10 years now, and I've never been happier with my doctor.

The worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I was miss diagnosed, had a broken bone in my elbow and was told don't worry that I just caught my funny bone and it would be fine in a couple days.

Dr. Lobel is not a horrible doctor. But his beside manner with me was not good. In his defense, I think he was a little caught off guard by someone I had with me at my appointment... But at the same time made remarks that I didn't like and assumed my issues were soley a problem of postpartum depression, when in fact I have an autoimmune disease. He ordered the correct testing that led to a referral and diagnosis from a different doctor and was thorough regardless of beside manner. So, I can't say he is a bad doctor. I think maybe I saw him on a bad day, but we didn't click.

I've seen my share of rotten doctors, but Dr. Lobel is not one of them. He seems to genuinely care and has always been so helpful. I actually trust him. It's unfortunate my insurance changed and I can no longer see him. I appreciate all he did for me when I was his patient.

I have been seeing Dr. Lobel for about 4 years now and find him to be the most thorough and concerned doctor. He is also very patient and gives you the time needed to get your concerns across. Very clear in what he proposes to do and why. My wife has also started seeing him with equal positive feedback. I would recommend him for any age person needing a compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable doctor. The Lexington Family Practice staff is also very helpful and caring as well.

Dr. Lobel is my doctor as well as my 4 yr. old son's doctor and we have been seeing him for the past three years. My son will actually ask me to take him to see Dr. Lobel. He is patient, caring and really pays attention, linking your past medical visits to the current. I would redcomend him to anyone of any age. The appointments are not as readily available as they use to be; I imagine due to the demand for his expertise! demANDyquick to
