While my doctor was working on my tooth it broke, so it had to be removed. He called Lustman and I ran over. The X-rays were already taken and sent But dr lustman took additional ones. Then he asked me if l wanted to have the implant done right then and I decided against it. He said, u can tell ur husband u saved him money. Which was so inappropriate! When I asked how much it would cost he said $5000. I didn't feel comfortable getting an implant just then. But it sounded very high to me. Never told me in advance how much removing a tooth would be. I was shocked when I walked out to reception to receive a bill of $3000 to remove my tooth. There was nothing that the doctor did except remove the tooth. It took maybe three minutes. I've had teeth removed before and the cost was somewhere between $500 and $1200. Dr Lustman in my opinion behaved unethically. I… find him offensive. I'm having an implant done by an excellent doctor and that is less than $3000. I have told numerous people about this, my Dentist and other oral surgeons. Every single person was, to say the least, appalled. If nothing else I posted this review so that other people will know to ask in advance what he charges, otherwise u will feel taken advantage of like me.its not a matter of oral incompetence, rather ethical standards.

Dr. Lustman was absolutely amazing in an emergency situation with my 4 year old daughter. I couldn't have asked for a more caring, thorough, responsive oral surgeon. He went above and beyond to help us over a holiday weekend, sparing my daughter days of pain. He was gentle with her, very clear and kind towards me, and performed meticulously. Dr. Lustman didn't just do a great job, he also inspired confidence and made me and my daughter very comfortable from minute one through his follow-up call to check on her. If you need a pediatric oral surgeon, I recommend him fully and without any reservation.
