Dr. Keith Jay Nelson, MD

Likeable, knowledgeable and uses the most up to date technology. Dr. Nelson performed both total knees, and evaluations concerning my knees over a period of ~20 years and I always valued and trusted his advice and expertise.

I had a total knee and couldn't be happier on outcome. Prior to surgery Dr. Nelson listened to my questions, explained the process very carefully and used state of the art equipment (He stays current in his field). He is very caring---saw me 5 times in a day and half to check on me. I was up and walking with no pain less than two hours after surgery. He involved me in decisions too such as pain management. Very capable, caring, gifted physician.

Had acl reconstruction done. Did not advise to straighten knee or increase range of motion pre- operation, which now has created significant difficulty with range of motion post op. Would not recommend.

Did a surgery on my shoulder, but gave me none of his time afterwards. On post-op appointments, he stood in the doorway, took no time to answer my questions, and appeared to be in a rush all the time. I felt very disrespected by the experience and will avoid him at all costs in the future.
