Dr. Keith Eric Sadel, MD

Was Dr. Sadel someone I trusted with my life? Yes, that is the first thing I think about when seeing a doctor. He seemed to truly care over the course of the ten plus years I was a patient, and he upheld the hippocratic oath, “do no harm.” About three years back or so, I noticed signs in his office regarding a concierge program, but I didn’t pay much attention to the signs. What I should have paid attention to was “the writing on the wall.” Things began to change. A little over a year back, I was told that if you wanted or needed bloodwork done, the only way it would still be performed in-office (as it always had been since day one) was if you signed up for the concierge program. That translates into paying out of pocket over $1,700.00 per year. This program also seems to come with other perks if you can afford it. At times, I use to be able to book a same day appointment. Worst case scenario, I would be booked at some point within the same week I called or at the latest, the beginning… of the following week. Suddenly my appointments were now being scheduled thirty to forty-five days out. I also had to start asking him to do some of the simple things that he would automatically do during a routine office visit. At some point during 2023, I was told that beginning in 2024, the only way to remain a patient was if you belonged to the concierge program, or as Dr. Sadel has labeled it, Preservation Health. Translation, the only way Dr. Sadel is going to do anything to try and preserve my health, is if I pay him that yearly $1,700.00 out of pocket fee, for the privilege of walking through the office door. I can’t afford the luxury of paying that kind of money just for the privilege of walking in the door. So after over a decade of trusting this man with my life, I now have to find a new doctor, because I can’t afford his new “pay to heal” model. In my final conversation/appointment with him, he said he knew a number of his patients would not be able to stay on (ie, could afford to pay him) and he said it so matter of fact, without the slightest sound of regret in his voice. What’s worse is I have referred several people over the years. I feel responsible for recommending a man who has put his bank account before his bedside manner. His literature claims this model, “hearkens back to a simpler time… when you need(ed) a true relationship with your physician.” I don’t recall any prior doctor with whom I’ve had a “true relationship” with, tell me if I didn’t give them $1,700.00 a year to get lost. So much for the hippocratic oath. Dr. Keith Sadel has harmed me because I don’t have a money tree to pay for for the care I have been receiving for years from him. Now I have to start from scratch trying to find a good doctor, but who will have no intimate knowledge of my medical history. The upside is that those doctors who will accept my insurance as payment, if nothing else, won’t be the symbol of heartless greed that I now see when I read the name Keith Sadel.

I have been coming to Dr. Sadel for 12 years now my husband alittle longer than me. Doctor Sadel is a very kind compassionate bed side manner doctor, when I first went to him in 2008 I had a complete checkup and he told me I had a umbilical hernia that needed repair soon after I was experiencing pain on my right side near my rib cage dr. Sadel send me to get an ultra sound to check my gallbladder sure enough that’s what it was and had surgery in holy redeemer hospital he came to visit me twice. If you have dr. Sadel as your doctor your a very lucky patient god bless him and his staff. ????

My husband and I originally went to another doctor and switched to Dr. Sadel a few years ago which was the best decision we could have made. He is very thorough in his examinations. He is personable, listens to your concerns, and suggests different methods or options to cure or relieve whatever is ailing you. If you have to wait longer in the waiting room, it is because he is very considerate and spends enough time with each patient to make sure that all questions are answered and everything is clear and understood. He is unlike the average doctor who is more interested in his time than in the patient. This is also one of the few offices where a person answers the phone during business hours rather than a machine.

I have been a patient of Dr. Keith E. Sadel for over twenty years. I was one of his first patients when he started his practice at the Einstein Center One facility on Bustleton Ave. I have had a few medical issues during this time and Dr. Sadel always makes me feel at ease , when discussing any of my health issue. Dr Sadel is very organized and follows up with any specialist I see. His staff in Southampton is very friendly and accommodating whether taking my phone calls or fax information. He is very CARING!! My only regret is that I cannot give Dr. Sadel ten stars.??

Before you become a new patient at this office be prepared to WAIT 45 minutes or more to be seen. This happens every visit. A majority of the staff aren’t that friendly besides one woman at the front desk. The doctors are quick to try and handout controlled substances and don’t take much interest in your health problems. Expect to be looked at like you have six heads and be prescribed a pill. I’m sorry but your pill hasn’t cured my stomach yet. Maybe look into a a doctor who knows what they’re doing to refer me to.

In addition to seeking out a 2nd opinion because I don't trust this guy, I also feel compelled to write a yelp review about him. I really think he should be reported to the AMA or whoever monitors doctors licenses, because his lack of awareness and blatant disregard for his patients is what leads to horrible medical accidents like administering the wrong prescriptions, mistaken diagnosis, performing surgery on the wrong body part, etc.

He is very caring, and very well informed in all aspects of the medical field in which he practices. He will always take the time to determine the cause of your problem. He will always listen to you !!!
