Dr. Keith Ira Sherrow, MD

PETTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNHYGIENIC. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Office is filthy. Dr coughed into his hands several times (not into the crook of him arm as we've been taught since childhood) yet continued his examination without washing those sputum-covered hands! Yuck. Dr definitely makes you feel that he is more concerned with his 20 dollar copay than his patient's health. He snuck in a petty sixty cents additional because I paid with my credit card ( like my gas station) after he virtually begged for cash. How small a man! Shameless. Doctor and office is unprofessional... Doctor is also very argumentative and juvenile-acting. Interacting with this doctor felt like I was dealing with an argumentative middle-school kid . I would stay AWAY and get a true professional.

Dr Sherrow is an excellent doctor. He's more caring & attentive than many other doctors I've seen. He also has a vast amount of knowledge and experience that he brings to his practice, and approaches medical problems like an enthusiastic detective trying to solve a mystery. He has helped me more than several highly paid specialists with an intractable chronic medical issue with his resourcefulness.I really like that he has a respect for holistic practices and is not all about always prescribing drugs. I have been his patient for almost ten years now.

Dr. Sherrow offered me a job and allowed me to practice, but as I was practicing, he was the most disrespectful man. He has no patience, sympathy, or care for his staff. Even though he may stick up for his patients, his real character is behind the scenes, which portrays no respect or kindness towards his staff. He makes promises that he cannot keep.

He initially stated that I would get paid with training and gain many training experience, but throughout the weeks, he became very demanding with my workload, was very Type A, and only did things that met his needs. I started off work with being very happy and wanted to share my knowledge from other experiences, but each day, I felt overwhelmed and threatened by his nature.

Dr. Sherrow is extremely professional and encouraging towards his patients. He gives a better physical exam in five minutes than most doctors could consider giving. I have been his patient for 14 1/2 years - he is absolutely incredible.

Dr. Sherrow discovered a spot on my mother’s lung over a year ago. In the following four months two more x-rays were taken. The spot had grown. Dr. Sherrow failed to explain the stakes and urgency of my Mom getting a CT scan. He never followed up. He never learned my Mom had a misunderstanding. She thought a CT scan was an MRI and she’s claustrophobic. He never told her it could be cancer to motivate her to get a scan. Dr. Sherrow let his patient go for a year with a growing spot on her lung without explaining it could be cancer. Because of Dr. Sherrow’s lacksdaisaxal negligent treatment my mother now has stage three lung cancer. When she could have been treated for stage one. She had the gold standard, early detection. But Dr. Sherrow let her throw that away. When a cancer doc at Mt. Sinai looked at the series of x-rays ordered by Dr. Sherrow he just shook his head. Why wasn’t she treated for this? If you value your or your loved one’s life, sadly, I would not recommend Dr. Keith… Sherrow.

Dr. Sherrow is uncooperative, rude to his patients and needs to control his temper; very unprofessional Doctor. He should do his patients a favor and retire.
