Dr. Keith Joseph Szekely, MD

I must say my experience with this office and anything to do with Monroeville's medical team is just awful, really a disgrace. How can such heartless people be doctors, medical assistants, nurses etc. Someone please tell me how this is possible? Dr. Keith Szekely is heartless, not compassionate and, frankly speaking, inhuman.  I have been visiting UPMC, for many years. This is the worst I have ever seen. Monroeville produces some different classes of medical professionals, just awful. I have a lot of medical issues of which my MD is fully aware. I have been to the emergency room a few times for different issues. My MD never once called, no matter how many messages I leave. He never called and addressed any of the issues directly. He would urge his rude medical assistant to call. I find his MA to be very dismissive and unprofessional. Tone matters. Dr. Kelsey’s medical assistant, disrespected me on 05/27/2026, and it wasn't the first time she spoke out to the team but this time she was… really out of line with the way she was behaving. I started wondering how people like her in this medical field. I honestly do not want her to have anything to do with my medical care her behavior I find very concerning. When my husband and me asked to speak with the office manager, Dr. Szekely MA, disconnected the call. but, of course, this has been my experience with most of the Monroeville staff, which got me wondering if there is some kind of discrimination, prejudice, even racism.  I need justice for the way I was treated and for this to be investigated, this behavior is unacceptable. No one should be treated this way, no matter what their circumstances are, no matter what race they are or where they're from. I am very disappointed in these people should be there to serve. However, based on what I have experienced, it's all about money.

Very knowledgeable. Very professional. He was very concerned about my overall health and that of my family. I appreciated how he took time to talk to me and not at me. I chose him as the PCP for my husband because my husband did not want a female physician. I was so impressed with the care he gave my husband that I switched to his service. As an RN and a patient I can say he is the best PCP I ever had.

Dr Keith Szekely is a very friendly and knowledgeable doctor. He takes the time to answer all my questions and makes sure I'm satisfied with any issues I have. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for a family doctor.

Dr. Szekely is a very thorough doctor. He did a complete physical exam asked me many questions related to my appointment. He also took the time to discuss different options for treatment and find the right one for me. I highly recommend him as a PCP and I will keep him as my PCP indefinitely.

Dr. Szekely is an excellent physician. At all my appointments he takes the time to do a very thorough physical exam and listen to all my questions. He always gives multiple options and we discuss the best course of action for myself. I highly recommend Dr. Szekely to anyone looking for a doctor that cares.

I was treated as though I was a drug addict looking for a doctor out of the blue just to give me pain killers. He wanted me to sign a contract and get a DRUG SCREEN in order to be treated. I am in the medical field and it's a requirement of my job to get random drug screens. He was very cold and impersonal and when he gave me a new medication at 3 TIMES the strength that you're supposed to prescribe, they treated me as if it were MY fault. Again, calling me to not find out if I was feeling better after practically overdosing, but rather, "go get your drug screen". WOW. Maybe this guy needs to be watched by the board a little closer?

During a six month checkup, Dr Szekley. refused to check a leg injury that occurred during the previous week. He was rude and told me he had other people waiting when, in fact, I waited for him 20 minutes after my appointed time. He said that I needed to get another appointment. What good is a checkup when a doctor doesn't examine something that is different from a previous checkup? All I wanted him to do was to take a minute or two to examine the leg and give me his professional opinion. If followup was necessary, I would have done so.
