Dr. Keith Jeffrey Ure

I've had one hip replaced and will eventually need the other replaced. Dr Ure is the best!

Consulted re hip replacement. Dr Ure was pleasant at first appointment. Second appointment, he was irritable, impatient and brusque to the point of rudeness. No thanks, doc, will look elsewhere.

My 76 year old diabetic Father saw Dr. Ure for a bad shoulder. Came to find out he had a bad Staph infection on his arthritic shoulder. He operated on it 3 times using the exact same procedure, expecting a better result each time. He wanted to do a fourth surgery and finally, I insisted he visit a infectious disease specialist in Seattle to get to the bottom of this issue. Dr. Ure said, he didn't know what more an infectious disease specialist could do "since they don't operate", as if cutting was the only solution. The infectious disease specialist was mortified to hear that Dr. Ure didn't put my dad on an IV anti-biotic and that he continued to do the same thing and that the infection wasn't taken serious enough. Additionally, Dr. Ure was rude and disrespectful to me, when I questioned him. Dad is on the mend at Swedish Medical after a more competent Ortho doc operated after consulting with the Infectious disease doc and will be going through a round of 6 weeks of IV Anti-biotics 3… x/ day to get rid of this VERY serious and painful infection.This guy should not be practicing!!!!

He ruined my knee. First, he insisted I had not injured it. Then he had me go to PT, where it was injured worse. He did a surgery, 4 months after the initial injury. The surgery failed 3 months later. I had the damage repaired by another surgeon, 8 months after the initial injury, which, if addressed immediately, would have been simple. Instead, I now have an official permanent partial disability. Additionally, he was rude, disrespectful, condescending & so was his staff. This was a nightmare.

Cannot speak to Dr. Ure's surgical skills as I only met him in an office visit. Once he decided that I was not a surgical candidate, he became completely disinterested in offering me any kind of assistance or in working with me to find other options for relieving my pain. He was cold, condescending, dismissive, and totally lacking in empathy.

A very grateful THANK YOU to Dr. Ure, in association with OMC, from a 70 year old patient for two successful total knee replacements, which have given me a new lease on life, enabling me to walk without pain. Dr. Ure's expertise and devotion to his patients is extraordinary. Respectfully, A Smiling Patient

It was a pleasure to have Dr. Ure resurface my hip!

Dr Ure failed to inform me post-op that my hip resurfacing device was implanted with issues. At 2 years post-op he failed to inform me that the device had slipped, after reviewing my xrays; said everything looked good. At 4 years post-op he failed to inform me I needed a revision, as my femoral neck was due to fracture, and I had to take it upon myself to find a surgeon that could properly diagnosis my problem. Dr Ure had extremely poor post-op follow up and I would not recommend him after my issues over 4 years. I have personally spoken to other patients of his and they have experienced, or know of, this same lack of follow up. He has left California for Washington state.

This "doctor" has moved to Sequim WA.Does not like work-related injury cases. Will not help you if you were hurt at work. Is rude, abrupt, disrespectful
