More concerned with getting in and out of the room quickly instead of his patient. Seems only interested in moving patients in and out and making money

He Doesn't really seem to listen to his patients and shrugs off some things like they arent important

I've seen Dr. Whitesides for 25 years. He provides care as a no nonsense common sense approach. His approach is if you do something and it hurts don't do it. It is sometimes a bit annoying, but he does treat you not necessarily in the manner in which you expect. He's not afraid of telling you like it is. If he thinks you need to lose weight, he's not shy about telling you. If you need to quit smoking, he will encourage you to do so. The downfall to his care, he tells you to do something, but don't provide direction on how to resolve the issue. Example: I go in for blood work. I receive my diagnosis in the mail with genaral instructions for care. No follow up call or visit on your diagnosis. (I believe it's IU Healths failure) It's up to me to plan the care and follow up. It's annoying when I go in 2 weeks later and he doesn't even remember seeing me nor does he know/recall the diagnosis so I feel like your at phase one and sometimes receive contradictory care information.His bedside… manners are increasingly better, but I sometimes get the feeling he's listening but doesn't care what I'm saying. On the bright side, I have noticed morning appointments are best. He's more attentive and respondent to my needs.

If you are a mom who has questions and concerns about certain vaccines for your child-he gets very frustrated because according to him he is very sick and tired of hearing about them from so many moms. Not a caring doctor whatsoever. There are plenty of other great doctors in the area who truly care for their patients-find another.

Dr. Whitesides is a great doctor and took the time to address all of my concerns. In response to the previous posts, I don't think that the problem is with women. I have heard this before. As with most doctors, I am sure it's frustrating when a patient is trying to diagnose themselves. You shouldn't read about your symptoms on the internet and go in with a preconception of what your ailment may be. I have found that when typing in symptoms online, you always find the worse case scenario. For example, thirst = diabetes, when in reality you're just dehydrated. Overall, I have been seeing dr. whitesides for 20 years and he has always been attentive to my needs.

He acts like whatever is being said is not important. He doesn't listen to you if your a female with pain. He acts like he is to busy to care!
