Dr. Keith Patrick Young, MD

Very knowledgeable. Does not spend a lot of time with the patient but covers everything that needs to be covered. Willing to answer any questions you may have.

Nurses are better than the doctor - they're understanding and communicate well. He is VERY ABRUPT, if not rude. Don't bother calling in the a.m. with an emergency - they won't call you back until after 3:30.

I had a horrible experience with Dr.Young. I never got a clear diagnosis for years I went to him. Then when I had a crisis with my lungs he refused to help me and said there was nothing wrong with me although put me on steroids, lasix and potassium. His nurses called and attacked me when I was laying in the bed so sick and nobody would help me. I am so hurt and dissapointed after years of being his patient. I don't understand why I put up with hin except I was so sick I wasnt a good advocate. Don' go to him.

So important to communicate with your doctor when you have several medical issues. H e took time to listen and was very pro active in my treatment

Even though Dr. Young's patient records indicated a specific diagnosis, for two years he incorrectly treated my geriatric parent for an illness my parent did not even have. After suffering in an acute situation under Dr. Young's (lack of) care for ten weeks, I transferred my parent to another specialist, who saved my parent's life. Dr. Young spent less than five minutes with my parent during each visit, constantly referred to my parent in the third person, continued to ignore my parent's actual illness by insisting on treating my parent for an illness my parent did not have, and was obviously aggravated whenever my parent or family member asked him a question. During one office visit, in my parent's presence, Dr. Young made the statement, no less than three times, to me, "Well, s/he's not going to get any better. What do you expect? S/he's xx years old!" My parent was actually in tears when Dr. Young walked out after that particular visit. Because chronic illnesses run in my family, I… have had more than the "normal" share of experiences with physicians in many areas of medicine. Dr. Young is the worst doctor I have ever encountered.

I don't know what I would do without Dr. Young. He diagnosed something on me that I had been complaining about to other doctors for over 2 years about and no one caught it. He sat down and talked with me for a few minutes, asking some key questions, and had me on the road to recovery. He has helped me in understanding my asthma and increasing my lung function. He is very caring but very quick and short when he comes in to see you: he sees what he has to see, asks what he has to ask, and diagnoses you -- and then he's off to do it again! :) He will answer more questions if you need him to. He knows his stuff and he changed my life.

He was so rude. when my mother was in the hospital.Hope he finds forgiveness.

If your interested in getting better then he's the man.He does not talk a lot but that is alright because he is highly intelligent. I think he nice though. If you have a lung problem he can figure it out.

He sent me to the right doctor when he was unsure of my condition.

Dr. Young has been my mother-in-law's pulmonologist close to two years now. He used to have a terrible bed-side manner, but something has happened to change him. I don't know what it is, but now he's warm, caring, compassionate, and attentive. My mother-in-law is currently in the ICU with a poor prognosis. Dr. Young has been amazing with her and her family - keeping us updated, spending time explaining things we don't understand, and even personally calling us (at home) every morning to give the latest status. This new attitude, coupled with the fact he's the best in his field in our area, makes him the number-one choice in his specialty!!! Thank you, Dr. Young, we love the new you!!!
