Dr. Keith Gregory Zacher, MD

My husband saw Dr Zacher for hernia surgery ten years and didn’t have any problems. This time was an entirely different story, however. My husband flew in from another state (we were on vacation at the time) to see Dr Zacher. His office called and canceled just two hours prior to the appointment — costing us $500 in airfare. They also canceled his second in-office visit. Finally they canceled his surgery not once but TWICE! We now (not so lovingly) refer to him as Dr SLACKER! Both he and his staff are unprofessional, inconsiderate, and unreliable. Please don’t waste your time!

Beware! Stay far away from this doctor. Find his Arizona Board Review and you will understand why. It is amazing he is still allowed to practice with the fraudulent billing practices he does.

Dr. Keith Zacher is a most talented and highly skilled general surgeon.  If you visit his office, he carefully makes sure that surgery is the right option for you instead of rushing you into surgery.  If it is, and you do need to have surgery, you can be glad you have a surgeon with his outstanding level of knowledge, experience and skill.  He is also very understanding, and in my case, of the three surgeons I interviewed, Dr. Zacher was the only one who really actually listened to me.  After his examination and several tests, he therefore knew what was wrong with me and expertly performed the latest techniques of minimally invasive Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and up to date surgical technology on me with excellent results. My surgery by Dr. Zacher was extremely successful and immediately took away all my problems which had caused the pain that I had been suffering. I was amazed at how quickly I healed.  Several years later, I again needed surgery for a different matter that also was… causing me a lot of pain. Again Dr. Zacher was very understanding and expertly solved my problem by eliminating all my pain with his advanced surgical techniques and technology which allowed for my faster healing. Throughout my several years of experiences with Dr. Zacher, I have found that he is a great communicator and a real human being as well as an outstanding surgeon who really cares about his patients and treats them with respect.  He also has a very kind and excellent office and surgical staff. I thank God that I have been extremely fortunate to have had Dr. Keith Zacher as my general surgeon with amazing results. If I ever need general surgery again, Dr. Zacher will be my first choice.  In my opinion, he is not only a brilliant, experienced surgeon, he also gives a darn!  I most completely and highly recommend him.  ?Jonathan ?

If I could I would give it zero but unfortunately there is no option for Zero. In 2015 I was referred to Dr. Zacher through my work because I got hurt at work and I needed umbilical hernia surgery they didn’t give me choice but to go to this doctor I wish I never did . After I had my surgery I could not return back to work because I am a certified nurse assistant and I worked at the hospital at that time I couldn’t do lifting or pushing and pulling anymore because my hernia was keep coming back when I came back to him asking for a letter saying that I can no longer do pulling and pushing and I need to do light duty work he told me that he cannot give me that kind of letter because it’s going to make him look bad that he didn’t do his job he told me just go ahead and change your job go elsewhere that you need no longer pulling and pushing. I had no choice I had to leave my job that I really loved and now since my surgery I have been in so much pain the mash that he put in my belly is… bothering me and I got another hernia i’m definitely not going back to this doctor I have been calling for 2 1/2 weeks trying to get my records they won’t even return my call I physically went to the doctors office I have been seeing and they told me that the Doctor No longer sees patients in that location but on Google when I looked him up it says that it’s open and Dr seeing patient at that location I found another location and I went there and they told me he sees patients there on Monday only nobody picks up the phone nobody returned the calls that’s horrible customer service and everything else would never recommend nobody to see this doctor He does not care about his patients it’s all about how many surgeries he did and how many years of experience he have. very sad

... and never to be heard from again. HOSPITAL DISCHARGE ORDERS required follow up with him/his office in One Week.. this entire office.could not manage an appt for several weeks. Scheduled with another medical staff member of the practice.. DR.? ASSISTANT? WHO KNOWS... Never met anyone.. But then they cancelled the several week out appt on me.. Which they never notified me they cancelled and moved the appt on me. So i have still never seen or heard from anyone Md/medical from this office. Thats called abandoned!!! And then ive only talked to reception twice when whenl I contacted them to schedule originally, then the day of appt. They the office blamed the hospital.. threw his own contractor/hospitsal, under the bus and blamed them for it somehow... This also disrupted my scheduled wound and ostomy home care inconsiderately. He also left no orders to even remove surgical staples. WHICH would have been left in me much longer than standard care allows. I had to get another… doctor to do his job and issue those staple removal orders. Cuz this "doctor" could not be bothered. Again.. pre operation room. This "surgeon" made me feel like i was inconveniencing him. I voiced such right then and there, including voicing under my breath l, but load enough for him to hear apparebtly "Oh my.god this guy is being a jack@ss"!.. to find out yes. I was apparently disrupting his vacation prep or he was trying to prepare to leave for I would have stopped the procedure, refused him as my.surgeon if i was not in such extreme pain, and apparently serious emergency surgery required situation. I pray for anyone else who also loses "the draw" and gets this "doctor" in emergency surgery situations. Especially if he's working- on duty- but so clearly already in vacation mindset.

Apparently this office no longer accepts any insurance. Their website gives a whole list of what they take. They request you bring in your insurance card. You sign for them to receive your benefits. But they NEVER tell you they are out of network. You find out when you get your bills. Very deceitful and forget about them calling you back if you have a compliant. The doctor has ZERO respect for your time. Do yourself a favor and find another doctor.

I have so many complaints I don't know where to start. But we will start with this. Dr. Zacher's office takes all of your insurance information, but what they don't bother to tell you is they do not accept any insurance. I had surgery and found out AFTER my surgery. The doctor rescheduled my surgery multiple times, showed up late for my surgery, putting everyone behind. I would NOT recommend this doctor.

Was sent back to full duty work without any conversation as to what the job duties were. Still in pain, with any physical action as well as pain without action. Something isn't right

I came to Dr. Zacher after visiting another surgeon for re-connective surgery from a colostomy performed a year and a half ago. He was reassuring, kind and ready to start the procedure right away. Just what I needed to hear. Got the date I wanted for surgery. The surgery went well and I was out of the hospital a day earlier than expected. It has been a life changing event for the best for me and I'm thankful and filled with gratitude. I highly recommend this considerate and skilled professional.
