Dr. Kelley Michelle Cornell, MD

Dr. Kelley M Cornell is truly one of the very best surgeons in Boston. She was my husband's surgeon on a very complex and challenging case- and she was the one physician who dedicated a great deal of time (i.e. all hours of the day) to identifying and resolving the issue, providing excellent care, and keeping us informed and updated on the treatment plan. Having worked in healthcare for >30 years, I am so impressed with her commitment to excellence, dedication to her patients and ongoing support. Her approach to her work is "no nonsense" and this is exactly what we appreciated the most in working with her during such a difficult time. (We had so many MDs coming in and out of our hospital room initially which was very unsettling-but Dr. Cornell took the lead and really helped us.) My daughter needed emergency surgery after a freak accident at home. We were panicked. She was on call. Arrived very quickly to the hospital, kept my 7 year old and me calm, did a wonderful job with her injury. I'm shocked by some of the other reviews about her being tired etc. maybe she is tired because she spent the night performing emergency surgery? She was very empathetic and put my very scared daughter, along with my husband and I, at ease.

Gets to the point and doesn't fuss. Perfect!

Lack empathy. Very cold. She was very unprofessional and rude and Lacked compassion. Never see this unempathetic "person". Who cares how much experience she has and how logical she is, if she is so rude and mean. I was talked down to by her and left feeling uncared for. Why be a doctor if you lack compassion? I know other people who have seen Cornell and all say she is rude and unempathetic. I am getting a second opinion because I do not trust her, she saw me for 5 mins. Rushed me and was a flat out cold woman. Makes me never want to see another doctor. I hope she sees this and the negative impact she has upon people. Maybe she should get her emotional health in order before she treats others. Find another profession, where you can sit alone. Doctors should have more compassion than others but she didnt. Would not trust her with surgery because of lack of empathy. You cannot be too smart if you lack empathy. Stay away from her.

Dr. Kelley Cornell is heads above her peers. Outstanding qualifications as a physician. She offers a level of care in her suburban practice commensurate with that given by a Boston Hospital. I go to a Boston hospital for all of my other medical care. My review and opinions are of Dr. Cornell and NOT for any other physicians in this practice.
