Dr. Kelliann Hess, MD

My daughter moved pediatrician from a male to a female, as she is 16 and self-conscience with a male doctor examining her. Every time we go, Dr. Hess seems dismissive and condescending. She prescribes more and more medications, and whenever I express my resistance, she seems irritated. She does not have a good manner with teenagers and seems judgmental. I would not recommend this doctor.

In 1997 I was 12. I came to Harvard Vanguard with a sinus infection. I had a documented allergy to Penicillin. Dr. Hess prescribed me Dycloxicillin. I had an anaphyllactic reaction to it while at softball practice later that evening. After the hospital I was legally blind and suffered severe PTSD. My parents and I decided that we wanted my story to be heard so we sued Dr. Kelliann Hess. Not only did we loose but, she slammed a door in my face at the courthouse! Now a mother of 2 I cannot comprehend how someone could do this to a child. I thought she had ruined my future but, lucky for me I have a great support system and am going to be a nurse in June. Be careful of what your Dr. gives you to put in your body! Everyone should own a drug book and go to Drugs.com before you take ANYTHING! Do not trust your Dr. alone. Educate yourself. Drs. make hasty decisions which lead to mistakes.
