Dr. Kelly Basaldua, MD

Dr. Kelly Basaldua, who is also a co-owner, is a board certified pediatrician who teamed up with Dr. Patrick Finklea to open Here We Grow Pediatrics in 2022. She grew up in Arlington, Texas and earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from St. Mary’s University in 2006. While at St. Mary’s, she was a member of the Division II Women’s Soccer Team and served as its team captain her junior year. Dr. Basaldua then received her medical degree from UT Health Science Center of San Antonio in 2010 and went on to complete her pediatric residency at the UTHSCSA Department of Pediatrics in 2013. After completing her education and training, Dr. Basaldua spent time as a Pediatric Hospitalist and Sedationist at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio from 2013-2016. She also served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics while at CHofSA and helped teach and train many pediatric residents. Prior to opening Here We Grow Pediatrics, Dr. Basaldua spent 6 years starting her …outpatient medicine career with Southwest Children’s Center from 2016-2022. Dr. Basaldua and her husband, Paul Basaldua, have been married since 2010. They have three beautiful children Julian, Raquel, and Marco. Dr. Basaldua is fluent in Spanish and welcomes patients from all over the state of Texas.
