Dr. Kelly Anne Bastoni, MD

Dr. Bastoni doesn't care about her patients or their needs, she will simply refer you to someone else and waste your time. Do yourself a favor and pick a different doctor.

This doctor was assigned to help with a foot issue I was dealing with at Kaiser. (Side note - I get that Kaiser has thousands of patients and I certainly don't expect VIP treatment!) From our first phone call I could tell she wasn't interested in helping me and every interaction I had with her thereafter was short/rushed. I never really felt like she cared even the slightest to help fix my issue. Eventually she had me see an RN in the office, but surprisingly the RN didn't have any of the information I had provided Dr. Bastoni advance (including the results of an x-ray that Dr. Bastoni had ordered through Kaiser!). The appointment was a waste of time and it felt like I was starting all over again. If you want someone who is going to actually try to help (and not be lazy), go to one of the other stellar doctors at Kaiser - no this one.

Dr. Bastoni has been my primary care physician for over five years and I have always been more than satisfied with the care she provides. She is very non-judgmental and has a calm, attentive "bedside manner." Five stars!

I had heard an IUD was the way to go, so I took advice and had it implanted. After a few weeks of major pain and perfusive bleeding I asked the advice of my trusted docotor and she told me that it was normal. Come to find out (when I went in for my appointment the iud had been misplaced) it was the experience of nightmares. I am now traumatized with the idea that during the duration of a misplaced iud I could have issues conceiving . The experience is something you’d see in movies. Wouldnt recommend to say the least.

My wife couldn’t get to her regular doctor so we had to call for an emergency appointment. We saw the poor reviews but needed to see a doctor so we were optimistic. My wife has extremely bad lungs, has been coughing to a point of vomiting and is so weak she can’t even make it up the stairs on her own. Had to basically force this lady to do a BASIC ear,nose and throat check up. In which I guess a regular routine didn’t fit inside of her schedule so we waited almost an hour for this. No big deal, except we wait this time just for her to check just my wife’s ears. Everything said to her instead of listening she would just reply in the tone as *I am the doctor not you* so she just kinda guessed that this was a sinus infection, which my wife has had before and knows for a fact that this isn’t just sinus infection. But she didn’t care because she is the doctor, not us. Gives the impression of working against you and not with you. She seems to have zero empathy. In her eyes this isn’t a big… deal and if the problems get worse (which they are) to come back, so we are currently waiting to get an appointment with a different doctor. She gave us antibiotics (for the wrong treatment) that are literally doing nothing but my wife has been trying them to give her the benefit of the doubt. I almost never leave reviews but something such as your doctor should be treated seriously. Extremely unsatisfied.

Didn’t listen to my daughters problems. Blew off what she was trying to say and we had to ask her to come back to run regular checkup tests (ears nose and throat) and still only checked ears. Took 2 hours just to for her to treat something (and didn’t fix. She’s still miserable) and problem we already knew about.

Not very knowledgable or empathetic, and wasn't interested in exploring possible causes for symptoms. Dismissed my symptoms, mentioning nothing is wrong and to just get some rest. Do not recommend if you need more than just a light checkup.

She believes fibromyalgia is actually only depression. Ridiculous! You'd think some reasonable young would have a more open mind. She is the cause of depression for fibromyalgia patients.

Down to earth and professional at the same time even with a high maintenance patient like me :) Please keep in mind that Dr. Bastoni is working within a system, Kaiser, which is what it is.

Just finished an appointment with Dr. Bastoni regarding some very sensitive issues I have. She was very tuned in to what I was saying and we formulated a plan TOGETHER. My last Doctor was manipulative and I really appreciate how she worked out a plan WITH me rather than tricking me to follow her treatment plan with no regard to my feelings. A+ She is a keeper.
