Dr. Kelly Douglas Burchett, DO

Very compassionate and helpful, Sees his patients at their assigned Ed appointment time, always asks if any questions. Explains procedure thoroughly and wants to put patient and caregiver at ease. Very matter of fact but this works for me as he is highly skilled which is most important and then bedside manner. Staff is great as well.

Dr. Kelly Burchett knows his stuff. He is kind, compassionate and walks you through the procedure. He proceeded slowly and carefully with my procedure, explaining step by step what he was doing to help put me at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. Burchett, and I would strongly advise that you ignore the naysayers negative reviews. My guess is they complain about everything in their lives and are never satisfied no my how stellar the care or service provided.

Waited to hours to hear, " I don't know" multiple times. Not helpful. Bedside manner rushed. Would not recommend.

I went to my General Practitioner with a concern about tinnitus. He suggested I work with Dr. Kelly Burchett. Dr. Burchett zeroed in on the problem and provided sound medical advice and prescription that worked immediately - possibly saving my hearing. Follow-up was excellent too. I was treated well for what I needed at an affordable cost. In and out. THANKS!!

Dr. Burchett has treated me and both of my children for various conditions, and we have the utmost respect and love for him. He is a wonderful doctor, very knowledgeable, takes the time to go over everything with you, and treats you with respect. He calmed my daughter and kept her distracted while she had a procedure performed, and helped my son figure out why he was having trouble hearing. He was compassionate when I was extremely ill and had several issues going on and had been to 3 different doctors already. He was the only one to take the time to determine why I was so sick, and after a month and a half he found the right medicines to treat me. We would recommend Dr. Burchett to everyone we meet!

I recently had to spend some time as a patient of Dr. Burchett's. While I am 60 years of age, I came to him scared and very anxious. I had a major surgery for another issue and I was completely depleted of strength and emotion. Dr. Burchett was extremely kind and gentle with me. He used a calm voice and kept telling me I was ok and just breath. He was like a parent talking to a upset child. (And I am years older than him.) Dr. Burchett made a huge positive impact on me, and he was able to fix my problem. He was able to make things back to normal, well like before, without doing surgery like so many people had said. I am so glad I went to him. I like him, and will go to him in the future on a moment's notice, if I need him. Kirksville is lucky to have him. Thank you Dr. Burchett.

Just had a first visit with Dr. Burchett today. Was a little worried after reading some old reviews, but I have to say, Dr. Burchett was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, explained everything in detail and gave me options on treatment. He gave me plenty of time to ask questions and decide on the treatment I felt was best for me. I am very confident in his abilities and highly recommend him.

Very personable and knowledgeable. He was willing to take the time to answer questions, and we even had a discussion about exercise and my other heath problems. I've seen him several times and always felt satisfied by the visit.

We had a very negative experience at this office. Left in tears after feeling like we were there wasting his time. Worst bed side manners of anyone I have ever encountered. It broke my heart to think that he was OK with treating others so poorly. We will NEVER go back.

Although Dr. Burchett's 2nd hand man was a very pleasant man, Dr. Burchett himself was a cold, self centered, know it all and I hope to never have the displeasure of meeting him again, because he made my stay unpleasant and I felt worse leaving the office than I did when I arrived.
