Dr. Kelly Cajahuaringa Castro, MD

She has been my GP for about 15 years and I cannot praise her more highly. She is extremely knowledgeable. She listens, cares and professionally solves whatever illness or just questions you may have. She's direct and kind and always goes the extra mile. She speaks to you using terms you can understand and has a wonderfully calm and quiet demeanor. She thinks on her feet and recommends specialists when she needs to. She cares about the whole person and not just one ailment.

Dr. Castro listens to her patients and she does not try to rush the appointment. She is willing to answer questions on a level that the patient. Also, it helps that she is very kind.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and I went to see her for my annual checkup. As this was my first visit with her I had to complete all the paperwork and answer all the questions regarding my medical history. I was surprise that the Dr. herself will do this and I felt it was very positive. Unfortunately my health and medical history is a little complicated so the process took at least 40 Minutes. When the Dr. finished the questions I asked her to check on a dark spot I have on my back and another on my eye. She took a look and referred me to see a dermatologist. After this she said that the appointment took too much time from her and if I wanted to continue the conversation she will have to charge me for an extra â??â??Office Visitâ??. I didnâ??t like it and I immediately felt abused and stop talking to her so the visit ended. For my surprise I got and invoice from her charging me for 2 visits the same day, when I called to ask why I was told by the billing department that I asked… the Dr. to do things outside the annual checkup and I have to pay for it. I told them that she only referred me to a dermatologist and she did not take care of it but I still have to pay. I think this is very unprofessional and too much business oriented Dr. I will never return.
