Dr. Kelly Hayden Hayday, MD

Saw this "Dr" at urgent care for what turned out to be strep throat. Swap came back negative but two days later my PCP took one look at my throat and said you have strep. It looked the same for Dr Hayday if she had examined me. What was more disturbing is part way through the exam she asked me if I had ever considered taking antidepressants. I was in the office for a sore throat!!! This Dr is absolutely atrocious.

Saw Dr Hayday after a tick bite. I had a red rash around the bite area to which I was told it was a simple skin irritation. Refused to prescribe antibiotics and said I could not have any tick illness as there are no deer around my property. Seriously? No deer. I called my primary on the Monday who immediately prescribed antibiotics and could not believe the rationale of no deer on my property.

Went for a physical and was quickly rushed and part way through describing some problems she said she had to excuse herself as my appointment was taking too long.

I really hope she retired they only could tell me shes gone. I saw Dr Hayday several times in Maine each time her go to treatment seemed to be Cymbalta for everything. Before I could even finish describing my symptoms she offered it to me. I asked if I should finish and her response was just a empty stare.

I had been experiencing various muscle pains and fatigue. She looked at me like I had three heads I asked about various tests and she asks me what tests I would like. Upon returning for a followup she said there was nothing she could do for me. About a year later another doctor ordered more tests and I had a tumor. I do wonder how much of the spread was from her complete ignorance on symptoms.

Misdiagnosis resulted in emergency surgery

I would never endorse this doctor. I became gluten intolerant several years ago, but didn't know until 2 weeks ago, that my gluten intolerance is one of the main causes of my Burning Mouth Syndrome. I saw Ms Hayday fewer than 10 times, for 10-15 minutes per visit. I trusted that the she was trying her best to help me discover ways to stop the 3 1/2 years-long, horrendous pain emitting from my mouth, then I read what she added to my medical records and sent to Mayo Clinic, Rochester. Although isn't a psychiatrist, she evidently believes she has the ability to diagnose people's psychological state of mind in a total of a few hours. Stay away!

Dr Hayday was my new PCP for a few months and now I can't find her. She left the CFMG and I've been calling around. So disappointed...
