Dr. Kelly Dawn Hostetler

I love her! I'm 29 years old and had never been to the dentist! She was amazing! She told me I needed my wisdom teeth out, however I had 3 cavities on the bottom she would fix while waiting for and appointment! I went to the oral surgeon who was completely astonished that she was able to save my back molar! I never felt any pain through any cavities! Recently I had to have a root canal on one of my front teeth! I was in so much pain! Her office quickly got me in and Doctor hostetler was amazing! She is able to keep me calm when im stressed the girls that work there are amazing and patient! Knowing I had a terrible fear of the dentist.. Which I no longer have! Wonderful wonderful work! My cleaning went perfect my cavities are taking care of.. And a root canal in the front of my mouth! And no one would ever know I had anything done! There's no discoloration of the tooth! Nothing! Sweet office and a wonderful dentist! Who was patient enough to help me with my fear! And patient enough to… talk to me so I could understand everything that needed done and why! LOVE THEM! Highly highly recommend!!!

my daughter who is 7yrs old and I both had dental appointments at the same time so I was in the chair next to her room. I couldn't see her but could hear everything that was going on. She expressed concern that it may hurt. Dr.Hostetler assured her that she wouldn't hurt her and said if it does hurt then she told her to raise her hand and I will give ur tooth sleepy medicine as she puts it....she put the matrix band in and started to drill I could hear my little girl start to whine then I heard the Dr. and the assistant both say, "put your hand down, you can't put ur hand up." Then my little girl said but it hurts. The Dr. said, oh ur fine. she was Helpless started to call for me, mommy. But The Dr. continued on as if nothing was wrong. Soon after she was in full blown tears saying it hurt I got up from my dental chair and walked over to her. quickly the Dr. put the filling in and took off the band. I thought about it all day and it really burned me up that she first told her it… wouldn't hurt then told her if it did that she would give her "sleepy medicine. Only to tell her she was fine and continue on with what she was doing. How she must have felt betrayed. I later talked to my husband about it and we decided it was best to go to another dentist so hubby called the dentist and told them to cancel all four of my future appointments as well as my daughter.s and her older brothers too. The Dr. had the nerve to tell my husband that it didn't hurt her that bad! WHAT!!!!! How does someone know exactly how much pain another person is feeling!!!!! She was hurting bad enough to raise her hand! She was hurting enough to call my name! She was hurting enough to cry!!!!!!!!!! How bad is bad enough..... Truly disappointed with this visit and I will not return and will tell everyone on my FB page and twitter accounts about that day! I hope others will spare their child this needless pain from reading our story about this dental office. We now go to Dr. Smiley's and have never had a problem.........HOW HARD IS IT TO NUMB A CHILD!!!!!!!
