Dr. Kelly Elizabeth Maloney, MD

Didn't even touch me even though I had left side pain . I have a long history of kidney stones. Know when I do. Having same issues as all the times before. Blood in urine etc. She was in a total of 45 seconds. Nothing you can do. Drink water. I've had stone surgery and honestly never had a doctor with so little concern. BTW I'm a 27 year nurse. At least she agreed to culture the urine. This just lost my business and of course xrays showed stones each and every time. This is not my usual doctor but needed to be seen immediately. All others in this practice are excellent.

Terrible bedside manner. Doesn’t read your chart and treats you like any idiot when you question why the medicine isn’t working

Never met this Dr. until my legs were in stirrups and I am in a very uncomfortable compromising position. She introduced herself and tried to start the procedure right away. I told her I had questions which she quickly dismissed each one without any real explanation and acted like she couldnt me bothered by me. When she did talk to me she was very flippant and condescending. She quickly did the procedure and left the room without any real discussion. I honestly felt very personally degraded and violated after the procedure. She might be a very good Dr as far as what she knows academically and clinically but she needs to to be taught how to be kind and compassionate and to be human rather than like a medical robot.

Never addresses you by name and actually has very little to say. Not very good at putting you at ease, poor bedside manner. Never answers a question that you can understand or is flippant about it. Is always late at the hospital and after surgery leaves very little instructions for post-op recovery. If I could give her 1/2 star, I would. The nurse at maloney's office is super, she explains everything she is doing and tries to make it as painless as possible. I sure wish Maloney had her bedside manners.

She wanted to immediately do an invasive procedure that I had significant questions about, which I had to forcefully stop before either staff member would listen to me. They spoke to me as if I were intellectually disabled, even after they were informed of my post graduate education. Turns out I'm a very low risk of an issue (less than 1%) and had little trust in the competence of Dr. Maloney after the interaction. This practice does not let you switch physicians, so if your insurance only covers the GHS system you are out of luck with urologists at least. Staff has difficulty returning phone calls (3 missed). New insurance (new job) allows coverage in both local health systems. Both experiences with St. Francis system were very good. (You can change doctors if needed, although I haven't had to.) GHS experience was limited to this doctor and practice.

Emergency situation- so helpful, courteous, and compassionate on the phone, during visit, and before/after surgery.
