Dr. Kelly Michelle Nations, MD

She was at my bedside for less than 10 seconds, no bedside manors, told me there was nothing she could do and then quickly rushed out. I had to eventually go to the nurses station to ask to be discharged. I am not inexperienced at working with physicians or caring for patients, I’ve done so for many years. I don’t rush to the ED to waste people’s time, I am aware of when there is a problem and when there is not. Highly NOT recommended.

Dr. Nation visited me while I was giving birth to my daughter and after. She did no hands on care. All she did from my POV was make me cry and judge me. Worst doctor I've experienced in my life.

My child was seen at Gulfport Memorial Hospital last night, and this lady never touch her nor saw her face. Everything was done via the nurse.

Dr. Nations was my ER doctor at Gulfport memorial, and she was less than caring about my symptoms that made me unable to walk at 17 weeks pregnant. I’m sorry, but throwing your hands up in a shrug is no way to answer/treat a patient regarding their concerns. Very unprofessional. Next time we’ll go to garden park if we have an emergency just in hopes of avoiding doctors such as her.

My mother, a cancer patient, has been to Gulfport Memorial a few times for issues pertaining to her illness and issues that had nothing to do with cancer (e.g. kidney stone, pneumonia). On both of those times, she saw Dr. Nations, and on both times, Dr. Nations made her feel awful for even being there... as if my mom was inconveniencing HER in some way. With her kidney stone, my mom experienced a lot of nausea due to the pain, and Dr. Nations IMMEDIATELY wrote it off as it was related to her cancer when it was NOT related to that at all. Sent her home, and my mom had to come back due to the stone not passing and still causing her pain. On the 2nd time, she sent my mom home from the ER with PNEUMONIA. Literally... my mom had to go back to the ER soon after and was admitted almost immediately (not admitted by Dr. Nations, obviously). To my mom and I, Dr. Nations made my mom feel like she was such a bother for even showing up. Not saying doctors need to come in with a bouquet of flowers… and freshly-baked cookies, but I am saying that they should show a bit of compassion and kindness, and Kelly Nations did not show even a smidgen of that.

Rude, did not listen, short, argumentative, arrogant,lack of care, formed judgement before ever spoke to me,did not listen when I tried to talk to her. incorrect record keeping. I said I was not in pain, but recorded chest pain in my records.Spoke to nurses more than her, they gave me more information than she did.
