I had been a long established patient at AHN Greenfield, over 30 years. I was sent to Kelly to check for gallstones. I had been having frequent gallbladder attacks, and have a documented family history (both sides) of gallbladder issues. She examined me via ultrasound and told me I didn’t have gallstones, and that I didn’t have any issues with my gallbladder. She then preceded to tell me I was suffering from depression and that the “gallbladder attacks” were a symptom of the depression. She said she could prescribe me antidepressants, and that would resolve things. Six months later I had to have an emergency operation to have my gallbladder removed, due to it being so infected, and inflamed. Kelly put me in a medically dangerous situation. Kelly contributes to the reason nurse practitioners are unable to get full practice authority in Indiana.
