Dr. Kelly Ann Switzer Timmons, MD

After reading these reviews, I decided to try her anyway since I only live minutes away from her office. She is horrible! She does not like patients like me who are "well read." I already had a wealth of knowledge about my condition, and she contradicted everything I said. I wasn't trying to disregard her input and advice at all. She just doesn't like patients who are smart enough to educate themselves prior to being seen. I got the impression that she just likes to manipulate her patients. My advice is to run far away and go to Meridian or Boise if necessary to find a good rheumatologist. I have a great one now who is located in Meridian.

Worst experience EVER! Ended up in a near screaming match with her (she thought she could intimidate me...her assumption was wrong). She didn't listen or care what I had to say about MY CARE, MY BODY. She spent more time drilling me about minuet tabulations rather than other potential issues. She ended up "dismissing" me and good riddance! Terrible bedside manner and her medical team are her minions! Pretty pathetic customer service!

I feel bad for the elderly people that are taken advantage by Doctor Timmons- She gives you the run around numerous times over and over. I will not be back. She is unpersonal and defends herself when you try and give feedback on what you know about your own personal symptoms.

She is so impersonal. I felt horrible when I left. Thankfully she had a staff that was compassionate. Not sure if I will ever go back. She was not worth the wait.

Simply put...I will not recommend this doctor to anyone! She ultimately does not have a handle on how to treat her patients with dignity & respect. Very limited knowledge base!

I went to Dr.Timmons to contiue care after my doctor left her practice, when I went in the front office people seemed nice, but her MA or Nurses were rude and not personalble at all!! when Dr. Timmons came in she immediatlly through out all diagnoseses my other THREE doctors had given me and jumped on the old fibromyalgia band wagon, which I have no symptoms of what so ever, I understand she wants to have her own opinon but you don't through out someones previous problems and not even ask questions, she never once let me get a word in and when I arrived home I began to think I had made a terrible mistake! I looked at the other doctors on my insurance and found another doctor from the same group was finally on the insurance and decided I'd like to see him, for a second opinon (which by the way is my right) and he's office is five minutes away opposed to forty five like Dr timmons, so they said I'd have to have Dr timmons permission and I get that, but then when I got word back from Dr.… Timmons she said she had spoken to the other doctor and he denied me, and that he refused to treat me because I had already seen Dr.Timmons, so I informed them that I would find a different doctor and to cancel my appointment and they said "That's fine, but to let you know, if you leave Dr. Timmons she will dismiss you from her practice and I will not be able to EVER come back! Which is totally fine with me, I'm sure I can get a more compatable and suitable doctor who cares about the people she or he is trying to treat and actually give them time to ask questions and listen!!

Dr. Timmons is amazing and very knowledgeable and caring. She never hurrys and always seems to be well prepared for office visits. Dr. Timmmons is a very thorough. New patients visits are 1 hour long and you can tell the she has review records from other physicians before she even sees you. We love the office staff they are always very nice and helpful.

I had been referred to Dr. Timmons by my primary care physician for a condition that I was very anxious about and had a lot of questions. The doctor anticipated all my questions and immediately put me at ease and made me feel so much better about my situation. She is so very knowledgeable and is an excellent listener. She did not make me feel rushed and spent a lot of time with me. She immediately ordered follow-up tests and scheduled me for physical therapy. She is one of the most caring, yet professional doctors I have ever seen and I am so greatful that she is in my area. Initially, I wasn't going to be able to get an appointment for 6 months but since I had my name put on the cancellation list I got in to see her in less than a month. The previous comments about this doctor seem unbelievable to me - I would highly recommend her to anyone!

This doctor disagreed with and interfered with my other long-term physicians, wouldn't accept their opinions and tests even though they were specialists in their field and she was not. She meddled in my other conditions and diagnoses and argued with me the minute I began to visit with her. She told me it was her session not mine. She called my primary to alert him of high blood pressure for which I was already being treated, as if she didn't even read the information in my paperwork,and her paperwork didn't even ask about what doctors I was seeing. She had my list of medications, but acted as if she didn't pay attention to them. She was rude, uncaring and offensive. She even got into a battle with one of my other specialists. It took six months to see her and I wish I had never done so but had a hard time finding a rheumatologist after mine closed practice in my state. Her staff seemed confused and also argued with me. They didn't have their act together and I began to actually feel… harassed by this horrible woman and her medical team.

I had an excellent Rheumatologist who moved out of state. I went to Dr. Timmons because she took my insurance. I had to wait 6 months to get my initial appointment. From the start she didn't believe my prior doctor's diagnois. She has never given me one of her own. Now after a year she wants to take me off the medication my prior doctor had me on because she doesn't think anything is wrong with me. The reason I am doing so well is because of the medication. I guess she wants to see me debilitated and in great pain herself. Just to let you know her office staff is great, but I would not recommend her as a doctor.
