Dr. Kelly Truesdale, DO

I trust and like Dr Truesdale. But the office staff is horrible. Very short on the phone. I was told by Dr T. that someone would call me to explain blood work and to send me to a specialist. Been over a week and nothing. Her nurse seems to be no good also. Not as friendly as the previous one who was great

My child had been admitted multiple times for an asthma attack last year, upon a follow up appointment made with her I let her know that it still wasn’t under control and I was having to give him the highest treatments every 4 hours and it wore off sooner then that. At the time of the visit he was “fine” and didn’t show visible signs of distress but only because we can given treatment 30 minutes before getting to the appointment. She sent us home, despite me telling her it was a problem and me blankly asking “so you think we will not have to be back in 6 hours because my son can’t breath?” Lo and behold, I was back in urgent care that afternoon and we ended up being sent to Mary bridge overnight because his oxygen stats were so low. He also ended up having a reaction to all the medications that were push on him that night. The following appointment we had to have with her my son was on oral steroid treatment to get the asthma under control and she pushed the flu vaccine as well as a… few others that needed to be updated on that visit. And you should never have a vaccine when you are on oral steroid treatments. Needless to say, I fired her at that visit for not taking my concerns seriously. She might be an ok Dr. for older people or adults, but I would never recommend her to someone for their kids based on her complete lack listening or hearing me as a parent about my child, who would have died had I listened to her and not taken him back in because “sometimes coughs just last a long time” the cough was him struggling to get oxygen and being 2 1/2 years old.

Dr Truesdale is competent with a friendly demeanor. The office staff and/or phone system on the other hand has lost at least 3 messsages. Adding insult to injury, the staff claim that they called us back multiple times when we waited to talk vice leaving a message . Our iPhone has no record of any such call.
