Dr Barr is very thorough and explains everything so that I can easily understand.

My sister recently saw Dr. Barr who suggested some type of insulin pen for her Type 1. She also has Dexcom continuous monitoring. All of this did not help. She emailed saying due to low blood sugar she couldn't wake up. Luckily, her husband-to-be dropped in, found her, and called the medics. She's okay now, but does Dr. Barr truly help those with a life-threatening disease? My sister is very dear to me, but as I live in another country, it's impossible to keep an 'eye' on her. I truly wish she had another doctor other than Barr.

I completely agree with the previously written review. Dr Barr is by the book. She did not want to treat my hashimoto's disease. She stated it was because of heart related issues which I have none. The problems I have are with my thyroid. She wanted to treat me for other health issues and put me on medication that was causing more harm than good. I was a patient of hers for a year with no help. Thank god I found Dr Azizi in Wilmington. Please avoid Dr Barr if you can! She is not a patient advocate one bit.

Dr. Barr is working in a theoretical world. She doesn't care about anything the patient says or how the patient is feeling. She's still back in some book from med school. I stuck it out for a year trying to do things her way. I ended up feeling worse, fatter and anemic. No thank you. I'm moving on
