Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:Helping others and showing compassion are values that were instilled in me as a young child. My parents, grandparents, and other extended family members modeled the importance of these values in all of their interactions with others. Therapy requires clients to be vulnerable and share their stories, which is no small or easy task. It is an honor to walk through challenges and struggles alongside my clients and their families, to be a trusted and safe ally in their time of need. What I want my patients to know about me:I have a background in family therapy and a true passion for supporting the whole person, not just a part. I believe that healthy relationships and connection with others are wildly important for all human functioning. In all my work with families and individuals, I am intentional about forming healthy relationships and aspire to be a partner in their journey.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy camping and hiking …with my husband and dogs. I also like cooking, gardening, reading, gathering ideas for home improvement projects and having dinner or coffee with friends. Most of my favorite vacations include road trips with a paper map that end up somewhere I've never been, trying new activities like paddle boarding, and taking lots of pictures. I love spending time with my family all year round but especially over the holidays and our annual summer beach getaway.
