Dr. Ken Keith Showalter

Ken was born in Searcy, Ark., with both of his parents being long-time White County residents. He spent most of his childhood, however, in small towns in Northeast Arkansas. He graduated from high school in Tuckerman and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University. During his years at ASU, he was on the basketball team and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
Ken knew at a relatively young age that he wanted to pursue dentistry as his career, and as he completed his undergraduate education, he was accepted to the University of Tennessee Dental School in Memphis. Ken completed his dental degree at U.T. Memphis and also met his future wife, Bobbi, while in school there. She was there obtaining her physical therapy degree.
After practicing for five years in Jacksonville, Ark., Ken and Bobbi moved to Searcy, where they have lived since 1980 and raised their children, Blake and Brooke.
Ken has been a member of First Baptist Church in Searcy since moving …here, serving in different capacities. Over the years, he has served on the United Way Board, Chamber of Commerce Board, Cancer Society Board and Searcy Public Schools Education Foundation as well as holding many other civic and community positions. Professionally, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arkansas State Dental Association and the Central District Dental Society.
