Dr. Kendall Jones Shaw, MD

I was told the following, direct quotes, on February 28th, 2026.: 1.) - "I hate to tell you, you didn't learn anything in nursing school. You need to go back." 2.) -"You do not have (insert issue). I don't know what to tell you, some people just want to be sick." 3.)Nurse: "My job isn't listening to you, my job is doing what the doctor tells me. I am just notating that you are refusing treatment." If you'd like to read on a full, detailed review is below. ___________________ On 2/20 was seen in the ER and told at discharge I should return quickly if I experienced any complications and the list of symptoms to watch for. That visit was as positive an experience you could have in an ER. I have absolutely zero complaints and will leave a separate 5 star review for that individual. I returned based on those follow up instructions, on 2/28. I am not here to argue, trash someone, and just be mean because I didn't get what I wanted. The other staff and triage nurse was absolutely… nothing short of angels. I do have to report Kendall Shaw MD and an RN. Both displayed inappropriate behavior, unacceptable bedside manner and were unprofessional and caused excess distress, during an already scary situation. I am not going to attempt to imply that I behaved appropriately 100% of the time. I was scared of complications, that I have actually experienced before, and extremely emotional. I was demanding and once provoked flat out rude. Regardless, I was non-violent, non-threatening, did not use foul language in front of or toward any of the staff and still had extremely pleasant interactions with all other staff I interacted with. My transportation individual, and CT individual (I'm sorry I missed their names, I want to say Mark and Olivia?) were super caring as well. I was demanding and rude because the physician was refusing me requested tests and exams with out giving me any medical reason to deny. Then the moment I pushed back and instructed him to write it in my chart that I am being denied requested care, his tone became condescending and he even raised his voice, more than once. Ultimately this review is only about the language he used, his overall personal behavior and not his medical abilities as I really didn't get to experience any real medical treatment from him at all. These are direct quotes from Dr. Kendall Shaw to me, in front of witnesses: In response to me telling him I had already reviewed my results in MyChart and they are consistent with the complication I was being seen for: - "I hate to tell you, you didn't learn anything in nursing school. You need to go back." While simultaneously looking directly at the person that brought me in and laughing like that was appropriate or funny. In response to him not agreeing with me and denying me preventative/ early treatment care entirely: -"You do not have (complication the first doctor told me too be concerned about). I don't know what to tell you, some people just want to be sick." He was yelling and aggressively waving his arms in my direction. One important note, is that I have been in treatment for a well documented medical condition for over 15 years. The last statement is what finally prompted my decision to write this review after a lot of thinking. Insulting my intelligence is rude, demeaning, and beyond inappropriate for the setting and circumstances. However, I am a grown adult and yes my feelings were hurt, but it was not anything I was going to waste my time thinking about. Telling a very ill, very emotional patient that they are faking it, is flat out verbal abuse by someone that is supposed to be caring and provide treatment. Furthermore, Munchausen's is also a recognized mental health condition. It is not a joke or reason to be denied a caring doctor and safe experience. Please do not allow Kendall to be your provider at this ER. There are plenty of other amazing physicians, PAs and NPs there, I have met at least one. Ask for PA Kandil if he is
