Dr. Kendra Derrick grew up in Marietta, GA where she graduated from Marietta High School. Dr. Derrick attended the University of Georgia receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health. Dr. Derrick earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2000. It was at IU that she and her future husband, Dr. Paul Kurtz, met.
After graduating dental school, Dr. Derrick happily returned to the state of Georgia to begin her dental profession. She is the third generation of female dentists in this practice and Dr. Derrick is proud to carry on their legacy.
Dr. Derrick is a member of the American Dental Association (www.ada.org), Georgia Dental Association (www.gadental.org) and Hinman Dental Society (www.Hinman.org) . She volunteers yearly with the Special Olympics dental screening. Dr. Derrick enjoys attending continuing education in her areas of interest: cosmetic dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
In her free time, …Dr. Derrick enjoys traveling, reading various literatures, playing her acoustic guitar, knitting for family and friends, and enjoys outside activities such as jogging, skiing and hiking.
