Dr. Kendrick Lopez, MD

Went to him for management of diabetes. This guy wanted me to give him a donation for his time and also wanted to bill Medicare. He said I could “donate whatever you’re comfortable with” and I could give him $5000 or $500, “whatever I was comfortable with.” Very shady. Will never go back. Kept looking at his watch the whole time I was there and was even sending text messages. Very unprofessional. AVOID.

I’ve been blessed enough to have had Dr Lopez as my internist for over two years. This man walked me back from the brink of death and I’m sure I would not be here had he not been so involved, well-educated and available. His bedside manner is wonderful, he listens, he asks questions most do not, he makes himself available to the patients and to the nurses. I cannot day enough about him. I would love for anyone that is suffering and needs a phenomenal internist to make an appointment with him.

He’s awesome! I made sure to get an insurance he accepts. But when I did have crappy insurance he worked with me as much as he could. I’m soo thankful for him. He literally saved my life! He was also very compassionate and listened to me.

I was diagnosed with Blood clots in legs and lungs in emergency room. He took over care when I was admitted to hospital. He prescribed drugs and told me to see a particular hematologist as soon as I was released, emphasizing the urgency of me doing so. Because my insurance is a PMO I needed a referral to see the hematologist. He refused to do so because he could not become my primary care provider due to the type of insurance I have. When my insurance company called and said all he had to do was call my current primary care provider and verbally tell her what he had prescribed and which hematologist he had told me to go see and the she would write the referral, he refused to even do that. So here I sit leg swelling, hoping the clots don't start moving again, waiting on an appointment with a different doctor next week. Avoid this guy if you think you might ever need him in life threatening medical emergency.
