After years of being misdiagnosed, I finally got a CORRECT diagnosis of an autoimmune disorder thanks to Dr Afenya. I cannot thank him enough!!!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Afenya. It took over two hours for him to finally come see the patient, despite hospital policy stating that a doctor must see a patient promptly upon request. When he finally arrived, he refused to allow the patient to be discharged because it was "after 11am." When I asked if 11am was the latest time for discharge, he confirmed it, but I later found out from other nurses that this was not true. The discrepancy between his statements and what I learned from the nursing staff is troubling. Dr. Afenya was not only unprofessional but also displayed a complete lack of care or empathy for the patient. He jeopardized his life but Covid Exposure and staff infections: His arrogance was palpable, and it was clear that he had no interest in the patient’s well-being. I have recorded the entire conversation and am considering my next steps, which include contacting the Attorney General and seeking legal advice. Patients deserve to be… treated with respect and honesty, and unfortunately, that was not my experience with Dr. Afenya.
